The "downed pilot" was a fake cover story for a failed US military operation to capture Iran’s primary stockpile of highly enriched 60% uranium, roughly 440–970 pounds. The primary stockpile is located at Isfahan, exactly where the pilot was "lost." This explains why the US heavily bombed the area while "searching" and why the C-130s were destroyed without loss of life. The C-130s were hit on the ground while the special forces attempted to secure the material. The entire operation became a massive rescue operation to extract the soldiers.

Guys, I’m an idiot. All this time I’ve spent trying not to die, I had toxic turf in my backyard. Artificial turf contains crumb rubber infill made from recycled tires, which leaches chemicals including PFAS, heavy metals, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. These compounds are linked to hormone disruption, carcinogenicity, and systemic inflammation. I don’t know how I missed it. It makes me question my basic competence in life. What gets me is that I try so hard to survey the world of potential idiocy. Then I find out there’s a monument to idiocy sitting right in front of my face that I was blind to. I’m removing the turf, yet I’m still stuck with this seemingly unsolvable problem of how to not be an idiot.

@SamaHoole Each kind has its uses. Grain fed has more marbling and fat so they're better for steaks, when the flavor of the meat is the star. But if you're making stir fry or something where the pieces should be smaller and more defined and served w sauce, grass fed is the way to go.

Grain-finished beef tastes better than grass-finished. Not marginally. Noticeably. The fat is milder. The marbling is more generous. The flavour is what most people, if you gave them both blind, would point at and say "that one." The entire artisan butcher industry has been very quiet about this. You can spend £40 a kilo chasing a flavour profile that the internet told you was superior, or you can go to the supermarket and buy the thing that's cheaper and tastier.

@MmisterNobody I think a lot of us do the 3 meals a day thing to make sure the kids are fed adequately and timely. But when adults are child free or empty esters, we eat when we're hungry. Which isn't 3 times a day, and it's refreshing we don't have to do that anymore.

@ThoughtCrimes80 As a registrar, I have a firm policy that no one collapses in my waiting room. The only way you can fall out is if you run in and fall out before you get to my desk (which has happened). I am out that door or over that desk getting you where you need to be.

The bystander effect is wild. A woman collapsed in the ER and nobody even blinked. After about a minute, a woman from outside came in to help and called out the medical staff for ignoring the patient. This is the American healthcare system in action.
