The world lost a great man today in Tim Keller. I count my life among the many that Tim impacted through his speaking and writing. I read Tim's book Every Good Endeavor during some of the most challenging professional moments of my life. Tim wrote... "A job is a vocation only if someone else calls you to do it for them rather than for yourself. And so our work can be a calling only if it is reimagined as a mission of service to something beyond merely our own interests. Thinking of work mainly as a means of self-fulfillment and self-realization slowly crushes a person.” Safe to say it fundamentally and permanently changed the way I approach work. If Tim's words above resonate with you, if you leave work each day feeling empty and unfulfilled, shoot me a message and I will send you a copy of the book (I really will! I'm that serious about it). @MarkPhillips11T Follow-up question: How would you define “founder outcome”. Strong metrics exist for successful business outcome - we don’t have as strong a set of “KPIs” for founder outcomes.

Founder Outcome ≠ Business Outcome The two are not equal. But are they correlated? Does a successful founder outcome lead to a successful business outcome more often than the inverse? #Founders what have you seen from your experience? Does one lead to the other?

@Dr_MatthewJones @DarrelFrater Yes. I met with @11TribesVC recently. With all of their investments, they give the founder an additional 2% into their bank account. It’s the only VC I know doing this and it’s amazing.

"Founder Wellness" can become a distraction if not implemented strategically. Yoga and meditation is cool, but I guarantee an additional $500K in the bank will do so much more for a founders wellness. Let's talk about this
