Jesse & Ben's just closed a $10M Series A led by Greycroft 🍟 Two restaurant operators (@jesse_konig + Ben Johnson) put their first bag on shelves in June 2024. Last year they grew 1,100% and they're tracking another 300-400% this year! Now the #1 frozen potato brand at multiple retailers... outselling the legacy giants AND private label. The team is LOADED (like their fries): @ericthomasryan (Method, Olly) joining the board. Audrey Burger (formerly Primal Kitchen) joined as Founding President. I think they've done a lot right here. Yes, they're doing the whole tallow thing, and yes the ingredients are clean and simple. But what I love about them is they're focused on making a delicious, restaurant-quality french fry first. That, right there, builds a timeless brand. Plus they're in one of my favorite CPG categories: Frozen.

@Nchap222 @shawngorham Hard money works well for all involved, but scaling is tough, sometimes you have to raise capital faster than deals move. They appear quick and need to fund faster. We’ve been hunting for a warehouse line, but most want big balance sheets. Classic real estate chicken-and-egg.

Hard Money is the most secure position on a deal! Think about this: I should be buying a deal at 70-80% of After Repair value less repairs. Lenders will loan at 80-85% of my purchase price and require rehab reserves or a holdback Ultimately lenders are loaning 50-60% of ARV High interest - 10-12% Points - 1-2% of the loan Fees - $1000-2000 per loan As long as the lender gets the value right and understands the repair budgets, its very hard to lose.

New (to me) Hard Money Lender: Hard Credit Pull (this is annoying becuase of all the calls you will get after) Background Check 2 months bank statements on every entity Bylaws on every entity to show ownership Personal Gaurantee A fee for everything 85% LTV max 3 year track record Its closing today, but not sure I will do that again.

Should’ve tagged you. You’d love my grandpas story (minus the leverage) He was a bookkeeper for a defense contractor, but hated being in an office, started leasing sheep and farm ground, then seller financed with 0% down for the first farm. Levered up to buy a couple hundred acres on cedar mountain, was broke for 30 years and now has a pretty large sheep ranch operation that my uncle runs. The American dream.
