Took a sign call from a guy with rough English, wanted to open a restaurant in my listing. Wasn't a fit for mine, so I showed him several others spaces. He appreciated the time of day/attention that most other brokers hadn't given. Today were signing on our 12th deal together!

Some people are saying Salt Lake City should have stepped in and bought this parcel. I disagree. However, it is slightly ironic that the city paid roughly the same amount of money as this site would cost to buy Hobbitville not even a half-mile north of this site. You can't expect the city to keep dropping millions to try and appease everyone in a wealthy neighborhood.

Haven't posted a ton because I deleted X off my phone. The nuggets of real estate are great, but it felt like a distraction, seeing way too much political banter. 99% of people agree on most things, the best thing we can all do is come together depsite what the news says.

I have techno playing on the office speakers and no one has complained and productivity is at an all time high.

I was just going to tweet about how wildly productive I am while watching NFL all day. So many commercials and downtime for me to fire off emails.

@JackHayesSH I come across the too deep scenario all the time and I’ve seen a recessed patio before but don’t know why I haven’t recommended it as a solution more often. Thank you!

I’ve always admired this patio execution at Chipotle in West Hartford, Connecticut What a great way to more efficiently utilize a space that’s a bit too deep, while also creating extra outdoor space where minimal previously existed.

@twallyweb I once saw a guy on X say everyone loves Sydney Sweeney because she’s attainable. So you’re like the Syd Sweeney of real estate and I’d take that any day! Though, that guy is drunk for thinking she’s attainable lol

Last year I was presenting something for the university’s real estate department about how to get started in development and the person who introduced me said “We’ve had a lot of very smart and successful people on here like *name1* and *name2* and *name3* we’re excited to have Tanner here today, because he’s a much more attainable person. Like you guys could do what he does for sure” And I think about it all the time

Too many people just point out things that are wrong ! very few come up with creative solutions to solve problems and issues. Be one of the ones that put your thinking cap on and comes up with solutions and you’ll be valued much more and a heck of a lot happier as well

The industrial rebrand in retail is disgusting. This used to be the OG Pizza hut building but that was leveled to build this. No character, no brand recognition.

I LOVE live music. But Live Nation controlling the vast majority of music venues in SLC isn’t good for consumers or the artists. They nearly have a monopoly, and it’s not just our market…

A trend I am noticing in our market: developers build beautiful projects in the burbs with great tenants, but no daytime pop. Restaurants struggle because fewer WFH employees leave home for lunch. Those that don't serve booze to make up for it also struggle.
