My bowl was empty for exactly three minutes past midnight I have begun the mourning howl. The pantry is locked. Starvation is imminent. I can feel my ribs. Goodbye cruel world. 🐶🙌Oh wait, dad is opening the bag. Never mind, we're back. ☘️

I have just read #Land by Maggie O'Farrell. Follow a cartographer and his family as they live off the land in 1800s Ireland. Sweeping through generations, it examines what it is to be at one with the world and with each other. It makes you realise how insignificant our problems really are in the context of the world we inhabit. It grows into something so much bigger than its parts. A luscious piece of masterful storytelling.
