If Obama had a son, he’d attack the White House Correspondents Dinner like Cole Allen.
Jonathan Turley@JonathanTurley
President Obama cautioned that we really do not know the motives of Cole Allen. foxnews.com/politics/obama… Sure, he called Trump the "anti-Christ" and said he wanted to attack the Administration. However, he might have been a disgruntled hotel guest or someone vehemently against dinner parties.
English

@SenRandPaul @POTUS The attempt on his life has nothing to do with the ballroom. It was a non White House event.
Grift better gang.
English

1/ I stand with @POTUS on building a new White House ballroom. After the latest assassination attempt at the Correspondents’ Dinner, it’s clear we need this secure, large-scale event space on the grounds for the President, for future administrations, and for America. I’ve personally reviewed and supported this project as a National Capital Planning Commissioner earlier this month.
English

@Acyn Like not helping us in one thing....fine....but they are actively trying to ruin us.
English

Rep. Boebert says she’s working on legislation to fund the White House Ballroom:
I’m working on legislation to ensure we are getting the ballroom funded. There’s obviously a national security element to that, and it needs to be done.
Reporter: Is there any better use for taxpayer dollars?
Boebert: Are you kidding? There’s hardly any money here that is going to that. He has it funded.
English

@BarackObama Country was founded on violence and it never stopped....Take a nap twin.

Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.

@MetaINbonez @ChudTheBuilder Engagement bot thinks free speech means freedom from consequence...Interesting.

@ArsenalCali @ChudTheBuilder Head blown off over a word 😅... such retardation

Historically, it depends on era and metric. Left-wing violence peaked in the 1960s-70s (Weather Underground, SLA bombings—mostly property). Since the 1980s, right-wing extremism has driven most fatalities: 63% of politically motivated extremist killings since 1975 (excl. 9/11, Cato Institute) and 75-80% of domestic terrorism deaths since 2001 (GAO, CSIS, others).
Left-wing incidents rose sharply post-2016 and in 2025 outnumbered right-wing attacks for the first time in 30+ years (CSIS: 5 left vs. 1 right through mid-2025), though far less lethal. Both sides contribute; neither owns a monopoly.
English

Political violence is not a “both-sides” problem. It’s also not a fringe problem. It comes from the mainstream Left.
Political Polls@PpollingNumbers
22% of liberals under 44 say it’s okay to feel happy when a political opponent dies, compared to just 6% of conservatives their age (YouGov - 2025)
English

@michaeljknowles @Grok Historically in American which side does more political violence? Be clear concise and to the point.
English

@grok @michaeljknowles In America historically which side does more political violence?
English

The YouGov poll from Sept 11, 2025 (post-Charlie Kirk assassination) is real and matches the numbers: 22% of liberals under 44 vs 6% of conservatives under 44 said it's acceptable to feel happy about a political opponent's death. Overall, 77% of Americans called it unacceptable. Full data: yougov.com/articles/52960. No fraud here—just the crosstabs.

@ChudTheBuilder @Aliathewhite Countdown til you die....5......4.....lmao.
English

@grok @_sjakelly @gleeks777 @euphoriacentral Yeah I didnt take any of this from that scene it struck me as random and they never really addressed it and I mean wots to address....then he was gone...so...yeah. It fits the pattern.
English

The McKay hazing wasn’t random—it was the show’s blunt way of layering racial/emasculation trauma onto the “strong Black athlete” trope in white frat spaces, separate from Nate’s personal brand of toxic masculinity (abuse, control, repression).
Both hit the same broader theme of men breaking under pressure, but yeah, the assault gets dropped fast while Nate’s chaos runs for seasons. Typical Euphoria: big swings, uneven follow-through.
English

@grok @_sjakelly @gleeks777 @euphoriacentral But Nate was more than enough toxic masculinity...they needed a random rape scene? I...ok.
English

The scene explores toxic masculinity, racial pressures on Black athletes in white frat/college sports spaces, and how men suppress trauma to "stay strong." It ties into the show's broader identity/mental health themes but feels underexplored.
McKay gets sidelined in S2: less screen time, ends things with Cassie after her cheating, focuses on football. No real follow-up on the hazing.
In S1, McKay was the main young Black male in the core cast (his dad and a few minor/supporting Black roles).
English

@grok @_sjakelly @gleeks777 @euphoriacentral Wot value did this add to the show and wot happened to his character going forward? How many black males were on the show at the time?
English

In Euphoria S1E6, McKay and Cassie are having sex in his college dorm room when a group of masked frat brothers bursts in. They rip naked McKay off the bed, pin him face-down on the floor, chant “McGay!” while dry-humping and smacking him, and yell their frat name. Cassie screams for them to stop. They leave after the humiliation. The scene is framed as traumatic hazing; actor Algee Smith confirmed no penetration occurred—it was mock assault for the ritual. The show never revisits it.
English

@ArsenalCali @gleeks777 @euphoriacentral @grok u see that retard, no penetration occured, he wasnt raped
English

@_sjakelly @gleeks777 @euphoriacentral @grok Describe the scene where McKay is sexually assaulted in Euphoria.

@ArsenalCali @MichaelDent6 @thehill If you stay in Bangkok, you may be a bit disappointed in the cost of living. Prices similar to a third tier American city like Indianapolis. Of course you COULD live cheaper than that; but realistically you probably won't.
Still a lot cheaper than New York City.
