Ehhhh actually this is one book I’d say it totally works to have a not-all-white cast for and isn’t revisionism. I went to a private boarding school and know that world very well. The reality is that due to the empire it was pretty normal by 1940/50 for boys from very wealthy Indian/African (especially Kenyan/Nigerian) families to send their children to a British boarding school.
