Not enough Americans seem to grasp what’s happening to our country. A deeply corrupt government pushing endless propaganda for years has dumbed us down. We’ve been programmed to prioritize our hate for each other over the love for our country, and it’s heartbreaking.

Not a democrat and silly to make such assumptions when people happen to disagree with things from either party. It’s not as simple as compassion being a “characteristic of progressives”. If she doesn’t qualify for medical parole or compassionate release - then she doesn’t. The governor was willing to reduce her sentence if she was remorseful, which she hasn’t been. Sure, they could release her with restrictions, but that’s not what republicans are calling for - they’re making her sound like a victim of the system instead of the criminal she is.

Oh, you want to play that game. I could counter with; Nuance in a case only matters when it’s a Democrat. I’m not saying that’s true. But I like to turn things around, take into consideration all the legitimate nuances, and see if I’m still angry. Sometimes, I’ll find my take is partisan rather than grounded. Her health is in serious decline and if compassion is claimed to be the defining characteristic of progressives, then releasing her to her home and family, with restrictions of course, should qualify as a gesture to prove it.

Here is what’s really going on with regard to the funding stalemate in Congress. ICE agents shot and killed two U.S. citizens on the streets of Minneapolis. Democrats then said: before we write you another check, agree to the same rules every police department in America already follows. Judicial warrants before entering homes. Visible ID. Body cameras. No raids at schools and hospitals. We immediately pushed for votes to fund TSA, the Coast Guard, and FEMA. Republicans blocked it. We tried to fund FEMA alone. Republicans blocked that too. Their position was to fund ICE with no strings attached, or shut the whole thing down. So DHS shut down. Then yesterday, the White House sent a letter admitting we were right. But they still won’t agree to judicial warrants or to take the masks off, which means agents can still break down your door without a judge’s approval and you still can’t see their faces when they do it. We’ve been ready to fund your airport security since day one, not to mention Coast Guard, FEMA and the rest. Republicans chose to protect ICE from accountability instead. #FundDHSFreezeICE

Taken out of context - as usual. Trump's phrasing ("we may hit it a few more times just for fun") isn't a literal plan for recreational bombing. In context, it came right after he noted that the U.S. had deliberately spared Kharg Island's critical oil infrastructure during the March 13 strikes (hitting only ~90 military targets like missile bunkers, naval mines, air defenses, and radar).

Absolute sociopath. Trump literally admits on tape that he might continue bombing Iranian oil facilities "just for fun." This phrase will live in infamy as conclusive proof that a madman is running the US military.

Joe Kent resigning and immediately pivoting to blaming Israel for everything is as predictable as it is unserious. Scapegoating Israel isn’t just a tired antisemitic trope – it’s anti-American. This is a guy with ties to white supremacists and has “PANZER” tattooed on his arm, referring to a Nazi tank infamously used in crimes against Jews. World governments are quietly but surely handing over Afghanistan embassies and consulates to the Talib regime. I called this three years ago and now it is happening. Human rights, women's rights, girls' education, poverty, and democracy are no longer values and principles but only buzzwords. You can't fix Afghanistan by the outsiders and foreigners. It's been tried. It has constantly failed. It's time for Afghans to take the lead in rebuilding their nation and their future.
