Your hardware wallet can receive a firmware update that changes how your keys are used. 🔐 Ours can't. Not by hackers. Not by us. Not by anyone. Here's why that matters 👇 keycard.tech/en/blog/a-keyc…

Live demo: encrypted notes running inside @Logos_network App, unlocked by @Keycard_. It shows what hardware means for the ecosystem. Any app can be unlocked by a card. Keys never leave the chip. Pull it out and session ends. No passwords, no keys on the disk. Pure hardware joy.

Walletbeat ranks @safe at the top for security The next step is knowing what device accounts like @freedomfactory, @Trezor, and @Ledger support fully readable Safe transactions txns on their screen to know exactly what is being signed onchain. cc @polymutex and @Toni_WalletBeat

Finally another winner in the land of hardware wallets! Unboxing, first look at @Keycard_ Shell & quick compare with some others like it. - Fully open source (software & hardware, MIT) - Good build quality (better than @COLDCARDwallet Q) - Clear screen - Can work without a battery - Great & simple initial setup of PIN code, key generation & saving to a Keycard - Full visibility of seed phrase - No vendor specific app needed, widely compatible, connects smoothly with @bluewalletio and @nunchuk_io - Cheap! You can have a Keycard Shell which comes with 2 Keycards for €109 currently - extra cards only cost €25 - Airgapped: camera to scan transaction QR codes & clear signing on the screen - Verifying via a web interface (which is inherintly insecure) feels weird but it's better than nothing. It does run only signed firmware. - Immutable cards, the software on the cards is permanently locked. - The version you order from Keycard will come with anti-tamper seal (fwiw) - Works with seedQR! Instantly scans it and then you're able to load a seedQR onto a keycard, glorious! Just select "Scan QR" in the "add key pair" screen during setup. I will definitely be offering this in the Bitsaga webshop but for now you should just get these directly from Keycard & purely support them. I'm genuinely happy to see the card innovation finally done well. This is a WINNER. Infinitely better than @Tangem which is a completely closed ecosystem with blind signing. The setup process is also significantly smoother than @era_wallet. With ERA wallet you still have to install the firmware yourself which is a huge hassle (how can it not be, over NFC wtf). Keycard does come preloaded with firmware (which you can verify through a web UI) and that makes this super beginner-friendly. Keycard new smartcard form factor is still way ahead. Great work Keycard, this is what we need: innovation but OPEN, without any vendor lock in. I love the fact that I don't have to even consider downloading their Status wallet which seems like a shitcoincompatible thing. Doesn't start up without a card though, which can be confusing initially. This is going to be a top contender for wallet of the year in 2026 IMO. It makes multi-sig so much easier! Might not be for everyone though.
