Lunar Permanence will require using resources on the Moon rather than hauling them from Earth. Our in-situ resource utilization system extracts oxygen from lunar regolith to create breathable air for astronauts and propellant for refueling landers and fuel cells. It also produces iron, aluminum, silicon, construction materials, and even solar power systems. The materials for a Moon base are produced right where they’re needed, and at much lower cost than being brought from Earth.

Artemis II paves the way to Artemis III and the next chapter of lunar exploration. We're inspired by this historic step forward. Godspeed to the @NASA Artemis II crew!
NASA@NASA

We're going around the Moon. Come watch with us. Artemis II's four-astronaut crew is lifting off from @NASAKennedy on an approximately 10-day mission that will bring us closer to living on the Moon and Mars. The launch window opens at 6:24pm ET (2224 UTC). twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…

Lunar Permanence has always been a part of our vision. Our facilities, workforce, and production infrastructure are designed to support @NASAMoonBase. We're ready to meet the nation's needs. We're all in.
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman@NASAAdmin

To build a sustained human presence on the Moon, we are building @NASAMoonBase, prioritizing surface operations and scalable infrastructure.  - Frequent robotic landings and mobility testing including MoonFall drones  - Starting in 2027 nearly monthly cadence of equipment and rovers with scientific payloads landing on the Moon.  - Investments in power, communications, and surface mobility  - Scalable infrastructure to support long-term human presence The objective is clear: build the foundation for an enduring lunar base and take the next step toward Mars.

Our second Blue Moon MK1 is moving through the production line at Lunar Plant 1 in Florida. The aft module and LOX/LH2 tanks are in assembly, with the aft module recently transitioning from a test fixture to a low-test stand for processing. Each lander is a step toward Lunar Permanence.

Working alongside JPL/Caltech, we've developed a Near-Earth Objects (NEO) Hunter mission concept for planetary defense using Blue Ring. NEO Hunter tests multiple asteroid-deflection techniques, including ion-beam deflection and robust direct kinetic impact, helping protect Earth from potential threats. This is another example of how commercial platforms like Blue Ring can conduct low-cost, high-priority science, exploration, and planetary defense missions.

Sharing a couple photos of our GS2s in build and getting their final touches inside our Rocket Park Factory. It's getting a little crowded, but that's exactly the point, manufacturing rate matters.

Thank you, Senate Commerce Committee, for advancing the @NASA Authorization Act of 2026. The bill’s passage out of committee reflects a decisive, bipartisan partnership between @SenTedCruz and @SenatorCantwell to maintain America’s leadership in space. We remain committed to supporting @NASAAdmin as we pursue our nation’s ambitious exploration objectives.
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman@NASAAdmin

Thank you Chairman @SenTedCruz and @SenateCommerce for advancing the NASA Reauthorization Act of 2026. A major bipartisan step towards empowering the agency to execute on @POTUS’s National Space Policy to return @NASA astronauts to the Moon and build the base. 🇺🇸

You guys liked the last Blue Ring picture so much, I felt that you deserve another one. This is the dedicated Structural Test Asset (STA) undergoing load testing at NASA's awesome Marshall Space Flight Center. So far so good. The Ring is proving to be fit trim and very strong...
