From @the_cosmosphere, which inspires & educates the next generation of space explorers, to NASA astronaut Nick Hague from Hoxie & astronomer Clyde Tombaugh from Burdett who discovered Pluto – the road to space has been paved by Kansans.

As Chair of @SenateCommerce’s Telecommunications & Media Subcommittee, I was happy to meet with the Nebraska Telecommunications Association. We discussed many important topics, including the need to expand broadband access for Nebraskans who still lack high-speed, reliable internet connectivity.

NEW: Subcommittee Chairman @MarshaBlackburn will convene a hearing on May 20th to examine the rapid expansion of sports betting and gambling in the United States. It will also analyze the growth of confirmed and alleged cases of athlete performance manipulation, sharing insider information, and prediction markets. Today is day 73 of the DHS shutdown. Over 1,110 TSA officers have quit since it began on February 14th. @TSA agents are essential to airport security and often the first to go without pay during a shutdown. With the @FIFAWorldCup quickly approaching, we need to end this shutdown before the impact breaks critical systems.
