Wisconsin law allows clerks to report large batches of absentee ballots all at once after they’re processed. That’s exactly what happened. What actually happened was Milwaukee processed a large number of absentee ballots, mostly from heavily Democratic areas, and reported them in a single update. Those ballots were never “138,000 votes with zero for Trump.” That version is simply false. The actual batch included votes for both candidates, Biden received the majority, but Trump still got thousands of votes in that same dump. The “straight line spike” people point to is just how data visualization works when a large batch is entered at once. It shows up as a vertical jump, not because votes appeared out of nowhere, but because they were reported together. Election officials, including Republicans in Wisconsin, reviewed this claim. No evidence of fraud was found. Multiple audits, recounts, and court cases confirmed the results. The Wisconsin Elections Commission and local officials explained this exact issue at the time. This is a good example of how misunderstanding vote reporting, especially absentee ballot timing, turns into conspiracy theories. A big batch of votes reported at once is normal, especially in cities, and it does not mean those votes were fake or one-sided.
