@AZYG4LYFE @blackheart59_ @SuperAkouma The issue imo is not that he has an option to punish the OS, it’s that the option is a confirmable mid knockdown/wallsplat If it was riskier or less rewarding, I don’t think it’d be as big a deal Options to call out the defense isn’t inherently bad but they have to cost something

@blackheart59_ @SuperAkouma People have different levels of temperance, some are comfortable to openly accept varied solutions (counterplay) that cover different buttons at the risk of dying to another. Others I've seen (and understand) prefer a more one size (option) fits all (or at most).

I need y’all to understand that some players just do not play the game the way you believe it should be played or the way YOU play it. Some of you like to set up moves strategically andI can respect that. However me personally, I prioritize speed and attack. @kushan019 Viability of the move matters too Law’s heat engagers are just better than King’s for example You would have to do a lot of rebalancing around that And *if* you could do that, yes, that’d be way better than having heat burst. I don’t believe they can tho.

I wonder how one player is able to land a heat engager while the other isn't? Could it possibly be a difference in skill?

@kushan019 180 health is fine. Removing heat burst is not. It will result in lopsided matches where 1 player is gaining heat every round getting health back and the other character struggles to land a heat engager. More complicated than removing hburst u gotta adjust a lot of moves

@SpaghettiRip Also if you really want a power low now she still has Destabilizer 4, which, yeah, is harder to access cause you have to hit the throw, but it’s also safer at -14 and very rewarding So it’s not like she doesn’t have an option. She does, it’s just a weaker one, and that’s good

@SpaghettiRip I feel like d1+2 follow-up nerf was a little misguided & would’ve preferred her install moves be nerfed instead D1+2 on its own didn’t feel like a problem, it was trying to deal with d1+2 while not getting hit by ff1+2 & fff1+2 that drove me crazy I’ll take this tho, I'm not mad

Some feedback I could give is that the nerfs to Asuka were really good and more of that would be appreciated across the board. They nerfed her in a way to NOT allow as much snowball offense and reintroduced a key weakness - No flipover from f2 on the ground - No followup in the open from d1+2 - FC df3 slowed, more pushback, less chip - New move ub1+2 nerfs the double spike combo Returning Weakness: No decent power low

@kushan019 Not a big fan of removing it but it needs a rework. No combo utility, slower startup, no usage in stance, no advantage on block. I don’t wanna live in a world where character balance depends heavily on juggling hundreds of individual engagers, but burst is also super unhealthy rn

Tekken 8's design philosophy is to have more forced up-close interactions and to make decisions more high commitment. It's very odd that VF players will see Tekken players complaining about this and think that VF is the thing they're looking for.

Virtua Fighter has always had better movement. The real reason that Tekken players won’t dedicate themselves to vf is because vf punishes the movement that Tekken is based from. For example KBD would get punished just by a neutral mid kick for big stagger guaranteed damage.

@aarminani Yes, the difference between 22 & 24 is huge It’s the difference between Lars d1+2, which you should never get hit by, & DEN 3+4, which you also shouldn’t get hit by but might catch you freezing Yeah the mental stack matters, people aren’t robots, but i24 is very very easy to see

the difference between i22 and i24 is huge? Of course it is, if that's the only thing you have to worry about while labbing it. in a real match after conditioning, that gap closes hella quick. and 'reactable depending on animation' is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. reactable in neutral is not the same as reactable after you've dealt with her entire kit after a few interactions.

...anna's entire idenity has been risky lows. she got another one that goes WAY further than her standard df4 and db4 pokes. it's essentially a fcdf2 without having to go into fc. you don't see how strong that is?

@aarminani The difference between 22 & 24 is huge And 22 is still reactable depending on animation Claudio db3 was i24 pre-S2. King db3 is i23. Zafina d3 is i22. Bear db4 is i21. All reactable, including Jin & Kaz AK’s I struggle with but there are players who will tell you it is

i24? you’ve proven my point even more. Jin’s d2 is i22~23 Armor King’s db3 is i22~24 Kazuya’s d1+2 is i22 these are all lows that become unseeable after you’ve applied enough conditioning and have changed up your timing. Anna’s new low is only 1-2 frames slower on average. It’s also unparryable, and hits at range 2. maybe it’s a good thing you think it’s weak lol 😂

I feel Asuka is a bit worse than her S1 iteration without the vortex now but its GOOD, its definitely making her rely on CH timings and defensive reads more like her older self, how it should be But why am I still dealing with most chars being their s2 selves or even better? 🫠

@tekken_masterbh This is the one thing I don’t understand… why is the risk reward so bad for a lot of mixes? Lars for example… his normal lows are death on block, cool his stance lows are a bit safer but ones like SEN2 have to be risky because of the strength his mids offer imo

I honestly don’t understand how I’m supposed to improve at Tekken anymore. At least, the 50/50 situations need to be reduced, and every character should be properly balanced. Or just add more 2D characters at this point Buffed Character S3 Jack, Victor, Law, Bryan, Dragunove, King, Claudio. Besides this, there will be more buffed characters that we’ll find out about in tournaments
