Ambition is timeless. Tools are not. Today we are announcing an $80M acceleration round at a $1B valuation led by @foundersfund, with participation from @sequoia @generalcatalyst @Lux_Capital @RedGlass @lightspeedvp Avenir, and @Haystack. In the last year, we grew revenue 7x, added some of the world’s most serious hardware enterprises, and built over twice the new product surface area than in our prior two years combined. The most ambitious and fastest-moving hardware teams choose Nominal, from aerospace to energy, and automotive to defense, because it helps them learn faster and scale more efficiently. Our mission is to bring that advantage to every team building in the physical world. For those not yet using Nominal, we hope to have the opportunity to earn your trust and work hard for you and your company soon. I’m excited to share that Ease Health is coming out of stealth with a $41M Series A led by @a16z, alongside @AbstractVC, Sunflower, F3, and @BoxGroup, to build the AI-native operating system for behavioral health. Behavioral health runs on some of the most fragmented infrastructure in healthcare. Providers are forced to stitch together EHRs, billing systems, CRMs, schedulers, documentation tools, and compliance workflows just to operate. We started Ease because this is not a tooling problem. It is an architecture problem. So we rebuilt the system from the ground up. Ease is a single platform where AI is not a bolt-on. It is foundational. -Documentation is handled by an ambient AI scribe. -An AI voice agent can manage intake and scheduling. -Our CRM auto-enriches leads and logs activity automatically. -Front desks can instantly match patients to the right provider. -Charts are audited continuously. -Utilization review and prior authorizations can run autonomously. When data is entered once, it flows everywhere it needs to go across clinical records, billing workflows, and reporting. One through-line of truth across the entire organization. Since launching, we have grown quickly and now support hundreds of behavioral health providers across inpatient, outpatient (IOP, PHP, MAT), and residential. The behavioral health crisis is not a demand problem. Providers are buried in manual documentation, claim denials, compliance friction, and disconnected systems. We are building the system designed to remove that burden. We are grateful to Andreessen Horowitz for leading this round, and thankful for the support of all of our investors and partners who believe in rebuilding healthcare infrastructure the right way. Your conviction and partnership mean a great deal to our team.

Basis
Basis@trybasis·
We've raised $100m at a $1.15b valuation from @Accel, @GVteam, and existing investors to accelerate deployment of the most capable and accurate accounting agents across CAS, tax, audit, and advisory. Basis is used by 30% of the Top 25 accounting firms and dozens more across the Top 150. Today we're announcing the first accounting agent to complete a business tax workbook end-to-end. Our focus on production-grade, long-horizon agents means that 12 months from now, the work Basis handles will make even this look routine. We're looking for a few very intense people who want to build at the frontier.

Falconer is building a structured knowledge graph for the AI era. Excited for @capitaltruist and the team to launch it publicly, and lucky to be part of it!
Dave Nunez@capitaltruist

Today a reset is taking place. The senior engineer making a million dollars a year in San Francisco uses the same frontier coding agent as the junior engineer in the Midwest. We talk to companies every day that are taking advantage of this reset, adopting expensive tools, putting in long hours, and still hitting a wall when AI struggles to understand their business context and intent. The real truth is somewhere between the teams’ heads and the codebase. Falconer gives everyone in the company, from engineering to sales to marketing to finance, a reliable source of truth. One that’s easy to contribute to and helps keep itself up to date. If you want to know what changed in your product last week, ask Falconer to write a changelog. If you want to understand how payment flows work for your new product, ask Falconer to create a diagram. If you want to capture the decisions in your long Slack thread, ask Falconer to turn it into a document. When the code changes, your PRDs, strategy docs, and runbooks get updated. Your employees are happy, your coding agents are happy. Falconer was built with lessons in mind from making engineers at Uber and Stripe the most productive in the industry. We built custom tools for top tier talent. The results were remarkable. But outside of these companies, no one has access to these custom tools. That’s what we had in mind when we built Falconer. The quality of information you feed yourselves and your AI tools is how you get the most out of them and separate yourselves from the competition. You can start centralizing and curating and compounding those gains over time, or you can let the bad information multiply, rot, and pollute your knowledge—severely limiting your AI leverage. Everyone wants more knowledge, and everyone has knowledge to contribute. Falconer is now available as your source of truth to achieve the productivity gains you’ve been searching for.

Today we are launching @openwork_ai, an open-source (MIT-licensed) computer-use agent that’s fast, cheap, and more secure. @openwork_ai  is the result of a short two-day hackathon our team decided to hack, which brings together some of our favorite open source AI modules into one powerful agent, to allow you to: 1. Bring your own model/API key (any provider and model supported by @opencode is supported by Openwork) 2. ~4x faster than Claude for Chrome/Cowork, and much more token-efficient, powered by dev-browser by @sawyerhood (legend) 3. More secure - contrary to Claude for Chrom/Cowork, does not leverage the main browser instance where you are logged into all services already. You login only to the services you need. This significantly reduces the risk of data loss in case of prompt injections, to which computer-use agents are highly exposed. 4. Free and 100% open-source! You can download the DMG (macOS only for now) or fork the github repo via the link in bio (@openwork_ai). Let us know what you think (or better, send a pull request)!
Claude@claudeai

Introducing Cowork: Claude Code for the rest of your work. Cowork lets you complete non-technical tasks much like how developers use Claude Code.

The future of marketing is psy-oping LLMs. In a few years most big purchasing decisions will be guided by AI assistants. This is scary — you have no idea what they’re saying about your product, and you have no way to change how they talk about you. We built Unusual to solve this problem. We’ve already shifted model’s perceptions of top startups from being flimsy to enterprise-ready, and have seen AI-driven leads skyrocket accordingly. Come work with us!
Y Combinator@ycombinator

Congrats to @tryunusual on their $3.6M round! AI models are becoming the new influencers in buying decisions, but brands can't control what they say. Unusual is the complete AI marketing platform, helping companies understand and shape how AI talks about them. siliconangle.com/2026/01/05/unu…

Today, 90%+ of healthcare spend (all $4.5T of it) goes towards treating chronic conditions after someone is sick. Less than 3% of that spend goes towards prevention. @Truemed exists to get more people investing in True Medicine. Exercise, food, supplements, movement, sleep, toxin removal… lifestyle interventions that help people treat and prevent disease, not just treat the symptoms of underlying sickness. We’re building tools that allow qualified individuals to unlock the $160B in tax-free HSA/FSA funds, and use them on these root-cause interventions. Since launching just 2.5 years ago, we’ve helped almost a million individuals pay for these interventions, and we’re just getting started. If we want to fix healthcare in America, we fundamentally have to help Americans get healthier. I’m extremely proud to announce our $34M Series A led by a16z, and am excited to continue our work to end the chronic disease crisis.

IT powers the workplace, and they’re hurting. Their tools are abysmal. Their workloads are unsustainable. They’re stuck in a vicious cycle of break/fix. But IT doesn’t just want to fix things. They want to BUILD things. They want to BUILD automations for: ☑️ help desk requests. ☑️ onboarding and offboarding ☑️ software access requests and reviews ☑️ asset management ❌ They DON’T want AI slopbots. ❌ They DON’T want tradeoffs between efficiency and security. ❌ They DON’T want legacy software that belongs in a museum. At Serval, we built the AI platform IT teams deserve: an all-in-one suite of AI-powered tools to automate help desk requests, build workflows, transform ticketing, and manage software access and assets. Serval is more than the next generation ITSM. It’s a reimagining of how IT operates. It’s rocket fuel for IT teams. It’s a glimpse into a future where IT BUILDS - not just for themselves, but for the entire organization. We heard from one customer “I would give up a kidney to keep Serval in our org.” The good news is, we won’t ask you to 🙂 But that’s how big this pain is and how much value Serval delivers. Today, Serval takes a huge leap forward, announcing our $75M Series B led by @sequoia, taking our valuation to $1 billion just 20 months after founding. This is still the beginning, and there is so much to build. But today I’m so proud of our team and all we’ve accomplished for our customers. Thank you to the servals that have worked so hard to make this possible, especially my cofounder Alex McLeod and our COO/my wife Tatiana Birgisson. Thank you to our customers who have believed in our vision from the very beginning. Thank you to our new investors, including Sequoia, Meritech, Evantic, Tenacity Capital, Sound Ventures, Radical VC, and Frank Slootman, alongside returning investors Redpoint, First Round, and General Catalyst. And most of all, thank you to all the IT teams that enable our most meaningful work. We’re working to repay the favor. ⬇️ See thread below for feature by Reuters, and our blog post on the raise!

Baseten has acquired Parsed, now allowing us to deploy the world's best RL talent to help our customers own the intelligence layer. The talent density of the small Parsed team is insane: RL experts and alignment researchers from Oxford and Cambridge, multiple Rhodes Scholars, multiple University of Sydney mathematics medalists (iykyk), and quants and high frequency traders in spades. Most importantly, the team is 100% Australian. Continual learning is a key unlock for helping our customers own the intelligence layer, and we are very happy to help accelerate their ability to do this. Welcome, Parsed team!
