Every EU expat in Asia is telling me this: Western Europe is a total disaster, but most people living in Europe don't seem to realise it. Politicians aren't doing anything about it and are actually making things worse. Not sure if I should write more about this topic on X?

Gm. I had a weird dream last night in which I sent an email to a long-established and very distinguished commercial gallery in New York, inquiring about showing my work there.
A few weeks later, I received an old-school letter in the mail from the gallery owner. He declined my request and then proceeded to 'yell' at me in all caps. While I was reading it, I couldn't help but think of @ROBNESSOFFICIAL. 😂
He hollered, "I WILL NOT TOLERATE THE INCLUSION OF NFTs IN MY ART GALLERY, AND I'M UTTERLY DISGUSTED BY THEIR EXISTENCE! THESE ABSURDLY OVERVALUED, ENVIRONMENTALLY DESTRUCTIVE, AND UTTERLY POINTLESS DIGITAL TRINKETS HAVE NO PLACE HERE, AND I WILL NEVER CONDONE SUCH A SHAMELESS CASH GRAB IN THE NAME OF ART. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT BRINGING THAT NONSENSE THROUGH MY DOORS!
I then typed his letter into an AI detector and discovered his scathing words were 100% written by ChatGPT.
We artists sure live in a surreal world these days.

This is extremely worrisome. It basically means there is a 'termination event' ahead, a global reorganisation of the planetary climate system. We have passed the point of no return already (surging methane emissions from tropical wetlands because of our higher temperatures and more CO2 in the air) and any climate change mitigation won't stop this anymore. In a way I feel like giving up and to just focus on preparing for the worst. Meanwhile some people still don't even believe there is a climate crisis....
