🚨 The humanitarian disaster continues to unfold inside Iran right now with tens of thousands already killed, hundreds of thousands with injuries, many life threatening. They are not victims of a natural disaster. It is a government trying to wipe out their own people for protesting against them. It is not an exaggeration to say that this is most of the country. I get asked ‘why is this not in the news now?’ The answer is stark: the government has shut down the internet. Even @elonmusk Starlink satellites have been jammed. So hear it from an Iranian simply trying to amplify faint voices coming out of Iran: worse is yet to come.

A layered quote from fellow Venezuelan, Michel Hausman: “You can oppose Trump and still applaud the removal of Nicolás Maduro. You can hold two thoughts in your head at the same time. Trump is not the moral compass of the universe, and Maduro still belongs in prison.”
I’d like to add that I greatly appreciate the risks the US servicemen and women faced to successfully complete the extraction. They removed the head of the monster- now there’s the rest of the criminal structure to take care of. They all belong in jail.

One year ago today, Hamas militias shot and killed a Palestinian critic of Hamas in Gaza — Ziyad Abu Hayya — right in front of his children, inside the tent where the family was living, after he appeared in a video pleading with the world to save Gaza from Hamas.
A full year has passed, and not a single human rights organization has documented Zyad’s story or spoken with his family. His name has been left in silence.
What his family wants is simple: justice for Ziyad. His killer has never been held accountable.
Over the past two years — and throughout 17 years of Hamas’s rule — they have tortured, killed, and terrorized countless Palestinians who dared to speak, criticize, or resist. Ziyad’s story isn’t an exception; it is part of a brutal, systematic pattern of silencing any Palestinian who dares to speak out.

The 28-point plan proposed by Wittkoff and Dmitriev appears to have been formulated in an amateurish manner, with many points being legally questionable, the wording vague and sloppy, and some points completely impossible. Putin and the Russian diplomatic corps will also have problems with many aspects of this plan due to its unprofessional nature, even if it is fundamentally in line with their interests. Some of the 28 points make sense—e.g., international control of the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhya and the division of electricity between occupied territories and free Ukraine. The military situation is not such that Ukraine would have to capitulate and simply accept this "plan." Putin has not even been able to achieve the capture of Pokrovsk, which he has been aiming for since summer 2024, before these plans were published. The fact that the US wants to shamelessly grab parts of Russian assets, funds to be paid by the Europeans, the Ukrainian energy sector, and financial profits from reconstruction with this "plan," and on top of that wants to be financially compensated for "security guarantees" that are nothing more than vague assurances, shows once again that Witkoff is completely unsuitable as a "mediator." Europeans should stand up straight, put their own proposals for peace in Europe on the table, and finally stand up for their own future with strength.

BREAKING: Since the ceasefire began, Hamas militias have unleashed a wave of arrests across Gaza, dozens seized, accused of being “collaborators” or members of anti-Hamas clans. They’re now publicly announcing that executions will soon take place.
After two years of relentless Israeli bombing, Gazans are now trapped under Hamas’s bullets and prisons.
Where are the human rights organizations now, the ones who claim to defend Palestinians, but fall silent when the killers are Hamas?
