The power of prediction markets extends beyond trading The markets produce information - a live probability that's more disciplined than a poll or pundit CNN, CNBC, and now Fox recognize the importance of Kalshi: a feed of what people truly believe when incentives are aligned
Kalshi@Kalshi

Fox News x Kalshi The largest news network in America integrates Kalshi. Prediction markets add accountability by rewarding accuracy. That’s why the three leading networks have chosen Kalshi. No spin. No partisan lens. Just incentives to be right.

Yesterday Mark Cuban reposted my work, DM'd me, and told me to keep telling my story. So here it is. I'm a Master Electrician. IBEW Local 369. 15 years pulling wire in Kentucky. Zero coding background. I didn't go to Stanford. I went to trade school. Every week I'd show up to a home where someone just bought a Tesla or a Rivian. And every time, someone had already told them they needed a $3,000-$5,000 panel upgrade to install a charger. 70% of the time? They didn't need it. The math is in the NEC — Section 220.82. Load calculations. But nobody was doing them for homeowners. Electricians upsell. Dealers don't know. And the homeowner just pays. I got angry enough to build something about it. I found @claudeai. No coding experience. I just started talking to it like I'd explain a job to an apprentice. "Here's how load calcs work. Here's the NEC code. Now help me build a tool that does this." 6 months later — @ChargeRight is live. Real software. Stripe payments. PDF reports. NEC 220.82 calculations automated. $12.99 instead of a $500 truck roll. I'm still pulling wire. I still take service calls. I wake up at 5:05 AM for work. But something shifted. Yesterday @vivilinsv published my story as Claude Builder Spotlight #1. Mark Cuban saw it. The Claude community showed up. And for the first time, I felt like this thing I built in my kitchen might actually matter. I'm not a tech founder. I'm a dad who wants to coach little league and be home for dinner. I just happened to build something that helps people. If you're in the trades and thinking about using AI — do it. The barrier isn't technical skill. It's believing you're allowed to try. EVchargeright.com

Alex Karp: "America has reestablished deterrence." "That actually just happened. It's happened in the last year." "That is a phenomenal asset that America now has that it did not have. And there are lots of reasons for it, but one—maybe not the most important—is a concatenation of the most unusual (in some cases otherwise maybe not fully functional) talent built around building something that was an absolutely scandalous, unpopular dream rejected by many people, called Maven." "If we are going to outperform the rest of the world, our single advantage is to augment neurodivergent, highly individual people to be their absolutely unique best—and protect their First, Second, Fourth, and Fifth Amendment rights so that they don't get screwed." @PalantirTech @KTMBoyle

Such a great milestone for @elevenlabs - congratulations to all involved including @JenniferHli @kirbyman01 and @venturetwins !
Jennifer Li@JenniferHli

Congrats @elevenlabs on the $500M raise. When signing the Series A term sheet, @matiii and I talked about reaching the $11B valuation milestone. It only took 3 years to get here, with a strong close in 2025 with $330M in ARR. We are releasing something special soon. Excited to show everyone the DNA of this incredible company.

Today, @elevenlabs is announcing a $500M Series D at an $11B valuation, led by Sequoia, with a16z quadrupling down and ICONIQ tripling down. It reflects the trust of customers and partners building at the frontier alongside us - and gives us momentum to ship even faster.

I really enjoyed working on the ElevenLabs Album and spending time exploring where next-generation tools and human creativity come together. Building this song with their new Eleven Music model helped me, as a producer, understand how new technology is reshaping the creative workflow. What stood out to me most was how much friction these tools remove from the process. Ideas move faster. Experimentation feels lighter, and I spent way more time following intuition and curiosity. Instead of replacing the human element, the technology acts more like an amplifier — giving creators more space to focus on direction, feeling, and storytelling. It feels like an early glimpse into where the music AI space could go: more accessible creation, faster iteration, and entirely new ways of shaping sound that weren’t possible before. As these tools evolve, the real opportunity will lie in how artists use them to develop distinct voices, not just in producing new outputs. Lmk what you think of the record 🎧 elevenlabs.io/eleven-album

A massive congratulations to our guy @aleximm - this is incredibly earned and very well deserved. I’ve been a fortunate witness to him endlessly championing the portfolio and as @DavidGeorge83 said, “carrying the culture forward”. This is an incredible moment in time for @a16z Growth and to have AI on the court is a great win for all. Way to go, AI!!
David George@DavidGeorge83

Alex Immerman @aleximm Since we launched our first @a16z Growth fund seven years ago, we’ve backed companies that are just at the point of finding product-market fit all the way through to investing at IPO, and we recently announced our latest $6.75B Growth fund to continue to do so. We now manage over over $22B across five Growth funds and believe the opportunity to partner with growth-stage companies has never been greater. Through it all, Alex Immerman has been instrumental in what we’ve built, which is why I’m thrilled to announce that Alex is being promoted to General Partner on our Growth investing team at a16z. Alex has been an incredible force since joining the team seven years ago, partnering with founders across consumer internet, enterprise, fintech, crypto, and AI-powered software companies — supporting them from early traction through breakout scale. In the last six months alone, Alex led our new investments in Kalshi, EliseAI, and Revolut, and has partnered with many founders in his time here, including those from Waymo, Stripe, ElevenLabs, Hebbia, Roblox, Anduril, Flock Safety, and many more. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Alex for over a decade, dating back to our time at General Atlantic. Those who know Alex know he’s a hustler, in the best way, with great instincts. He has an endless motor, isn’t afraid to speak his mind, and is always willing to help. I’ve also enjoyed seeing Alex become a culture carrier on the Growth team and across the firm. In his work, Alex has brought deep strategic insight and rigor to every part of the investment process. He’s built strong founder relationships grounded in trust and long-term support, and helped shape our thinking about how great companies win — whether that’s moving beyond surface metrics to durable moats or evaluating what truly drives retention in new software paradigms. As a General Partner on Growth, Alex will continue leading investments and working closely with founders tackling some of the biggest opportunities in tech today, with an emphasis on category-defining companies at the intersection of AI, consumer, B2B, crypto, and the physical world. Please join me in congratulating “AI.” I’m proud to call him a partner and am excited for what’s ahead.

The most successful people I know all have an almost irrational belief that everything will work out And I just recently learned the word for it: Pronoia. It means the opposite of paranoia. The belief that the world is secretly conspiring in your favor. The funny thing about Pronoia is that it's self-fulfilling. When you believe things will work out, you try harder. You persist longer, and you see opportunities where others see dead ends. What's that quote again? "Pessimists sound smart. Optimists make money." – Nat Friedman We all need a little more pronoia in our lives.

Some personal news: I joined A16Z! My goal is to build services that inflect the growth of our portfolio companies. In @packyM's piece on the firm, the most important services we provide are hiring, sales, and marketing. These services are the firm’s compounding competitive advantage. The New Media team has already built a world-class content machine. Now we’re going to build products that solve distribution challenges end-to-end for our portfolio companies: GTM hiring, network-driven sales, growth marketing, helping founders go direct, and more. In VC 1.0 the best companies had no choice but to take capital from a few VCs. In VC 2.0 they had many competing VCs. Capital was no longer a problem. After building a company at the intersection of marketing & AI, I’m teaming back up with @eriktorenberg and new friends (@david__booth, @humford) to build VC 3.0 - where distribution is no longer a bottleneck on company growth. PS—if you want to help the most important startups in the world with their GTM, we are hiring exceptional, idiosyncratic operators who can build and sell. If this is you hit me at thollands at a16z dot com.

Ben Horowitz says great companies come from founders with one strength that it outweighs all their weaknesses. “It's always a mistake to rule out somebody who's truly world-class on a weakness.” “It's always a mistake to invest in somebody who's not truly world-class on a lack of weakness.” @bhorowitz @jaltma
Jack Altman@jaltma

a16z just announced their newest fund - $15 billion! I had @bhorowitz on Uncapped to discuss how they run the firm, how he thinks about venture talent, a16z's overall investment approach, deploying capital at scale, media, and more. He's easily one of the most impressive people I've gotten to have on the podcast. Hope you enjoy.
