@krae_on @Absolutemtb1 @UKMTB_Chat @MTBTalk Looks like it might be the freehub bearing. May seem fine superficially and run for a while but will probably collapse. You might have already checked, but does it have any play in it if you try and move the cassette side to side?

Bollocks. Took off the cassette and gave it a wipe down, checked the wheel hub and all looks/feels fine, reinstalled the cassette and still got a big wobble. Guessing it needs a new cassette? @Absolutemtb1 @UKMTB_Chat @MTBTalk #mtb

Deep snow made accessing Jacob’s Ladder from Hayfield a losing battle this morning. Sheet ice on Kinder cobbles and deep icy snow made shooting cabins DH very hard going. Headed to Snake Pass, definite highlight. @KoftheP

Snake Pass on the MTB was pretty special this morning. This was 10am today. Can’t see it opening to normal traffic until later today at the earliest. Single lane cleared and extensive ice in places. @100Climbs @roadcc @theJeremyVine @SnakePassRoad @snakepasswest

@UKMTB_Chat Yes, back in 2020 on Holme Moss. Definitely a big sense of achievement, but there’s no denying it’s a lot of climbing for a single ride! Only tip would be to find a hill that’s closest to the type of climbing you prefer, but not so shallow that it ends up being a 200 miler!

BONUS QUESTION: This seemed a bit niche for the chat hour… Has anyone ever done an everesting? Considering it being my challenge for 2023 (maybe for charity) either real world or on Zwift. It’s a big maybe!! #UKMTBChat
