TSA agents don’t need ICE officers hovering over their shoulders and intimidating travelers—they need to get paid! Democrats have tried to pay TSA 8 times. Republicans have blocked it every time.

Is it Elf on the Shelf time for you? Not at my house! Here are four strategies for ditching the elf if this is draining your spirit or threatening to. Yes, I’m the Grinch on this and you can be, too!

@thesultanbagel @mkhammer As a former Red Cross worker who worked for the NHQ and the local chapters in the DC area before, during, and after 9/11, I can tell you with 100% confidence that your understanding of how 9/11 contributions were planned to be used and were ultimately used is incorrect.

exactly! There is a joke video made by an Israeli about it by sending an Uber to pick up the hostage not Red Cross. I haven't given a dime to the Red Cross since 9/11 when people donated millions to them and rather than them giving it to the victims and their families, they redecorated their offices.

@jonfavs @mehdirhasan And yet somehow America feels free from tyrannical Government. It must be a collective hallucination,... unless maybe it isn't.

The owner of this media platform spent a quarter of a billion dollars to elect the president and is now in control of all our private information and how our tax dollars are spent. Let’s hear it for free speech!

@SenAdamSchiff Refresh my memory, did these same strong moral principles about malfeasance lead you to refuse the pardon that President Biden offered you?

The mass firing of Inspectors General by the Trump Administration without grounds and advance notice to Congress is a clear violation of the law. But, of course, we know the cause: Trump wants no accountability for malfeasance in office. He is refilling the swamp.

@jonfavs Is "drinking problem" something you've identified objectively or subjectively? Would you say that Mr Hegseth's "problem" was better or worse than the "problem" historians ascribe to Ulysses S Grant? And then should we posthumously remove Grant from the posts he held?

@SenatorDurbin If we don't need an Electoral College, then we don't need a Senate either. They're based on the same concept. Why don't you tie that idea on as an amendment to this bill?

@farhip @ByronYork I wonder if not issuing a retraction/correction/apology at one of the next airings of the show after the original error could be legally interpreted as "actual malice."

@ByronYork Yes, that’s known as a mistake. It can (and should) be corrected. Defamation requires intent—“actual malice,” And proving defamation against a public official—let alone one as prominent as Trump—is notoriously difficult. This is just Disney avoiding legal costs.

@CheriJacobus What about the fact that he moved to the U.S. and stayed here? Does that not suggest that he is worthy of at least a starting presumption that his interests align with the interests of the U.S.?

There is nothing that Elon Musk has done in his entire life that should make anyone believe he has the best interests of the United States at heart. Not a damn thing. Let the pillaging begin! (I'll block, hide, then cut off his fake bots and trolls that will reply to this.)

@GretchenCarlson Are you saying that you are preparing to write your first person account of the alleged misconduct? I'm willing to consider primary sources. Otherwise, it's just a rumor.

@BaldBryan Thanks for recommending Donnie Darko several times over the years on ACS. I had it in my watchlist for years (unwatched) based on your rec and finally got around to choosing that last night. Very fun! I would have never picked that "off the shelf" on my own.

@DawsAngeles You may have already heard... Episode #461 of The Fifth Column podcast is interviews with the late Steve Albini, with whom I was unfamiliar but now admire. There's a great interview there for those with a deep appreciation for music and music history. Enjoy!
