@NekoKirito7 No, it doesn't have to be one or the other. Both are dystopian hellscapes. In most of North America we have made building mixed use neighborhoods (such as the old street car suburbs) illegal with zoning laws. Stop being obtuse.

@MarcusGustavus The standard of living here is not better, for the average american, it's worse. Our statistics are screwed because we have the highest income inequality in the developed world.

Im so sick of having to tolerate mental nįggęrs lying about incredibly nice USA suburbs being "hell on Earth". These people are fuckin slaves. "Urbanist" parasites. Every single time they do this beaten to death lying thru your teeth thing, and so often its literally just indirect animosity for white people in white families just trying to earn, play sports, watch movies, and not get slid on with the blicky switchied up

@fraubalhorn Most European tourists return home wondering why their grandparents didn't migrate to America when they had the chance.

Most European tourists to the US return home with renewed appreciation for their continent’s public infrastructure, urban planning on a human scale, and general liveability. The rest are sociopaths.
The Economist@TheEconomist

European football fans visiting America are discovering the mass affluence of the country’s suburbs. The wealth enticing holidaymakers troubles European elites. America, once a peer, seems to be racing ahead economist.com/finance-and-ec…

@dhcueb4 @fraubalhorn No they don't. Most of North America has zoning laws that make building anything other than single family housing near suburbs illegal.

@fraubalhorn What’s with the passive aggressiveness? Many suburbs have a Main Street close to their house. The suburbs can be lovely!

@_sevatar That's not entirely true. American cities were much more like European cities until the 1950s when parts of our cities were bulldozed in favor of car dependent infrastructure. You can just look at before and after pictures to see what I'm talking about.

At this point, "far right" and "nazi" is just any White person who doesn't want to become politically disenfranchised and turned into a despised minority in their ancestral homeland.

@TheChaosWeeber The interstate highway system means nobody drives through these towns anymore, so no businesses can survive there. Everyone drives to the nearest large town for work and shopping. That, and foreign job outsourcing killed small town America.

@sapphyreblayze Be honest. You already wanna to do that. Living in your shitty little flat with no AC and no grass, who could blame you? But hey, at least you've got your rape gangs, and crippling alcoholism to look forward to every day! Now run on back down to the pub and get shitfaced.

its not that bad, big houses, fenced backyards, pools, plenty of shopping and restaurants with adjacent parking, good schools with lots of sports options and other clubs for the kids. What would suck would be to live in a cramped city with cramped apartments stacked ontop of eachother, expensive corner restaurants that are old and dingy, not being able to have a car, no A/C for those hot summer months, crowds everywhere, etc.

The interstate highway system and labor outsourcing killed small towns. 80% of the buildings are empty, nobody drives through so no businesses can survive there. They're still more interesting than anything on the interstate, which all look exactly the same.

Driving through Ohio. Towns like this are why we’re trying to avoid the interstates and take the slower roads instead. These are the kinds of places we want to see. This feels like peak America.🇺🇸

This video captures so much wrong with the modern era >White man has hit some sort of breaking point and he's shooting cops >Male cop was shot first, girl cop completely useless >Bystander gets up to leave, girl cop shoots him because she's jumpy and freaking out >Girl cop runs at the first opportunity even though the shooter is closing in on her >Entire time star wars people rambling in some foreign language You're living through the collapse, you should probably start acting like it
