@trainer_skyi I'll go further. Stop drinking calories. Water, black coffee, zero calorie drinks. Like anything there are exceptions but just make it your general rule.

I’d like to see Tesla and Rivian get serious about vehicle charging. In 2026, 25-30 minutes for 10%-80% charge time isn’t good enough.

@LocoDoritos @OhioObserver @Sn0totter @uncledoomer Uh, it's not. It's mostly evaporative cooling. Most datacenters do not uses closed loop water cooling in rack. Ever been in a large datacenter? Notice how its really cold? And we have hot aisle and cold aisle?

@BallisticPissle I live in Austin and walk around Lady Bird Lake and Shoal Creek regularly. The most shocking thing is 90%+ of women go on walks with friends to talk about men. I've never once ever heard two dudes talking about women. Men have no idea how much women talk about men.

As for income, millions of workers in New York City don’t live there - they live in Jersey, CT, Long Island, or Westchester. profits made in the city, they charge a “city tax” in deductions

FIRE was a response to boomers hogging all the top jobs forever. It was perfectly rational for genx and old millenials to realize they were never going to get those jobs and try to succeed in another manner.

The FIRE (financial independence retire early) movement has done an immense amount of harm to society This is coming from someone who used to be a believer in FIRE, but I have realized just how much of a fallacy it is, as I have grown older Taking a bunch of high potential income earners and convincing them that their life goal should be to pursue a net worth that allows them to check out of society is immensely damaging to the social fabric Many of these people sit on the upper echelon of office jobs, have built great businesses, or are at the top of their field in their career field They should be inspired to continue doing what they are best at, and ultimately, mentor and give back to the next generation who want to pursue those same goals Instead, many of these FIRE folks become wandering retirees with a meaningless life who are trying to grasp on to money as their north star It is a false sense of security and accomplishment. Becoming wealthy should never be a goal in the first place. It should have always been to pursue something that adds meaning to your own life and to society It is a completely fallacy to believe that retiring will be your source of happiness. More often than not, it has the complete opposite effect

@13_narcissus Yes. Learning to program is learning how the machine works. An analogy: I've never written assembly outside of studying it and it's benefitted me my entire career.
