@GeorgeSayour Secularism leads to a fictional separation of the sacred and the secular. It will metastasize with the complete denial of anything sacred. Make no mistake Neo-two-kingdoms is secularism discipling the church. It mocks prayer done in the workplace... It will mock it in the church!

Another option was afford PCA ac they could have granted permission for his continued use of the logo. seeing what he was doing was harmless and actually supportive of the PCA. A third option they could have requested for him to supply them to the PCA directly for sale from the PCA site. The fact is no rash judgment needs to be made to say I don't think it was the right choice even if it was the one they made and they were free to make it.

IOW, what might appear to be materialistic nitpicking is actually faithful due diligence on the part of the PCA AC, in their service to the rest of us. I get the instinct to question; but maybe some humility before rash judgment brothers?

The PCA logo brouhaha: several years ago this was made an issue (some had to change their group name). PCA insurance carrier warned that any lawsuit brought against unofficial groups would financially entangle the PCA if the trademark protection practices were not enforced. 1/2

@bsharbaugh @WVPitt What is a "PCA Men's rally"? I have never gone? Sounds like men getting together that have the PCA in common.

@PerfInjust We literally train our missionaries to assimilate into other cultures to bring the gospel. If you refuse to assimilate your seen as a bad missionary and a bad guest. But this has always been considered good manners you adopt the customs that are not sinful if you are a guest.

Since assimilation is necessary for good civil order, the Gospel (which, according to Shenvi, condemns assimilation) is subversive of good civil order. The gospel introduces a contradiction, and requires nations to descend into social distrust, atomization, and disorder.
Neil Shenvi@NeilShenvi

@michaelbd And coercive assimilation will be bad for the chuch in those nations precisely because Christians preach a gospel that creates deeper allegiances than blood and soil... which is precisely why many on the Dissident Right reject Christianity: x.com/NeilShenvi/sta…

@GeorgeSayour @nsxanders Sadly not. Another casualty of the CN war. Apparently we can't have nice things. x.com/i/status/20413…
H.T. Williams@HTWilliams10

@WVPitt The PCA has the right to ask him to stop. But their own guidelines for 3rd party usage is "PCA Men's rally." Their own ambiguity of usage and using this in the CN debate is the problem. Not churchmen who want to represent and rally men to their church in a classy way.

It's crazy. You can sell books with images of Christ at the GA of a WCF denomination (the PCA) with the blessing of whoever oversees the exhibit hall & its vendors, but you can't sell our Mandalorian looking logo on a $7 lapel pin. Make it make sense!

Dr. Strange is right on this point. But I could see how you’d think he’s embarrassingly and obviously wrong if you also forget any and all distinctions and context. And also decide to not think about it. And if you also just want to dunk on him. Dr. Strange is almost certainly talking about intrinsic ontological value belonging to specific people groups, but if we only have the depth of thinking to suppose that he’s talking about conditional or ethical values of peoples, then sure. I get it. It is true that good people are good and bad people are bad. Great point. Good dunk, pal.

@BradyJBush @AmericanPresby @johnandrewwords @PerfInjust Can a marriage be relatively sinful? He said "can" imply that it isn't the race component that would make it sinful something else is the condition. It it can be sinful it can also not be sinful. Do they teach Grammer in public schools anymore?

@BradyJBush @AmericanPresby @johnandrewwords @PerfInjust The fact is missionaries have been accused of destroying cultures and people groups and today we got to great lengths to preserve cultures and people groups when bring the gospel. But somehow that is all forgotten when we talk about the west.

I’m late on this one, but yeah this is the present state of seminary land. In this case: 1. Equivocation (terms like “better,” “nation”), 2. Straw man (not the exact claims of CN), 3. Red herring (imago Dei per se and eschatological oneness per Rev. 5:9), 4. Question-begging concerning the nature of the divine act at Babel and whether there was no antecedent natural diversity, such as Wolfe argues in CCN, 5. Non-sequitur (a nation can be better and a people group trend in superior ways, without it implying the morally blameworthy sense of superiority), and 6. What if collective obedience to the 5th and 6th commandments hinge on such knowledge?
