@Bell_Aliant Update #2: Reached a human (briefly) then got disconnected.

Recently switched to @BellAliant FiberOp Internet. After waiting on hold indefinitely this morning, I realize I have made a grave mistake. This was my second unsuccessful attempt to reach a human (I also scheduled a service call online, but they never showed up).

@Bell Attempted to get wireless internet with Bell. We need this for the observatory near Peggy's Cove. Tried ordering twice. Each time they said, "We'll call you back in a few days". They never called back. Observatory should be online later this week with @Rogers

Just picked up the form for the new pier/base for the @AbbeyRidgeObs restoration project! (We only need ~4 ft, but this diameter form only comes in one size). YouTube video coming soon!

@AstroBackyard Saturn, with a 50mm telescope purchased from CVS Pharmacy for ~$13. I was 27 years old.

What was the VERY FIRST thing you ever looked at through a telescope? 🤔 Mine was a bright star through my little Dob. I don't remember which one, but it was August, in Ashley's parent's backyard near the highway - so I think it was Vega.

@AstroBackyard I bought a used AVX on B&H Photo's used telescope page for under $500 USD (7 years ago). Recent purchases on this site include an Explore Scientific 8 inch astrograph, and an Explore Scientific 1000mm refractor, however, both of these telescopes arrived damaged. Hit or miss...

What are your favorite places to buy USED astrophotography gear? I've used Astro Buy Sell, Astromart, and the 'used' section of the camera stores (Henrys etc.) (Pic is some of the early gear I bought used)

Representing the @csa_asc on #Artemis II to the Moon is @Astro_Jeremy, from London, Ontario. Jeremy Hansen was a fighter pilot before joining CSA, and currently works with NASA on astronaut training and mission operations. This will be Hansen’s first mission in space.
