During an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in Lebanon after three Indonesian UN peacekeepers have been killed in the past 48 hours, Jerome Bonnafont, the French 🇫🇷 UN envoy, said Israel 🇮🇱 has threatened French personnel. ⬇️ "Grave incidents have also been committed by Israel against the French contingent in Naqoura and in particular against the head of the military force . Israeli soldiers have shown an aggressive attitude carried out intimidation and attacked the security of the personal of the French contingency at a time when deconfliction procedures had been duly respected. France condemns in strongest terms the direct threat to personnel working with UNIFIL...This council can not settle for condemning. It must act."
