Another day, another opportunity 🚀 Yesterday @modernfintech and I presented the vision @Yellow has been developing for a while: the agentic economy. Our state channel tech solves a range of market problems that other solutions simply can’t address efficiently due to their architecture. Here are four scenarios where Yellow excels: (i) High-frequency trading: Agents negotiate, match orders, and exchange P&L off-chain. (ii) Bidirectional micropayments: Agents stream payments both ways (e.g., collaborative AI tasks). (iii) Private strategy execution: Agents share proprietary signals privately, protected from front-running. (iv) Conditional logic: Agents negotiate contract terms, update conditional payouts, run bidding rounds, or execute multi-step workflows. The data isn’t surprising, it just confirms what’s already playing out. Token sales stopped being asymmetric once they were no longer structured with the market in mind. The result is simple: constant sell pressure with no real bid. The few winners follow a different path: lower caps, real float at TGE, and communities that actually show up. If you’re not underwriting them with the same discipline as any other position, you’re not investing, you’re providing exit liquidity.

The market’s tough, but one of my best recent investments wasn’t a token, it was how I work. I stopped just using AI and started running it. Now I have an “office” of agents that take direction, break tasks down, organize themselves, and execute, and watching them talk to each other until they reach the final output shifts how you think. I had to make some incredibly tough decisions regarding the team size at @yellow__capital. We're now six fewer on the core team, but it's what happened next that blew my mind. To my big surprise, our output hasn't dropped an inch! I attribute this intact productivity to the fact that we pushed our core team to delegate their heavy lifting to AI agents. The idea came to me after a few months of using agents for myself, and having dozens of conversations with developers as well as AI enthusiasts. If I were to summarize all of it into a single insight: the role of a developer is fundamentally changing. No longer can you afford for lead devs to write every single line manually. Instead, our lead devs are reviewing code, guiding AI, and accepting pull requests. It's a completely different level of efficiency. The gap between those who leverage AI and those who don't is truly massive. In this sense, the shift in our team structure was inevitable. But instead of just letting go of those who were lagging behind the AI curve, we decided to make a radical bet on them. We took a strategic decision to invest in people who were a part of Yellow Capital. We gave the developers who hadn't yet adapted to these tools a two-month, resourced runway to just learn AI. The message is simple: You take this time. Upgrade your skills. Come back as a 5x engineer, and you can make back these two months of productivity in a single week. The choice is entirely theirs. They can come back in a week, or they can come back in two months as an upgraded version of themselves and build the future with us—or they can choose to walk away. If they believe the traditional path is still right for them, it's their decision. We provided the resources so they could make that choice consciously. The market is accelerating, and If your team is still writing every line of code manually, it’s only a matter of time before the market teaches you a very hard lesson.
