@MichalYuriy @Kren0l_ The Center Party (the one with the clover) is economically right wing but socially very left wing and therefore doesn't fit into any coalition nowadays. They used to be a part of the right coalition but they don't want anything to do with the Sweden Democrats.

🇭🇺🇪🇺 Hungary's new PM just rejected the EU migration pact. "We will not join. We will reinforce the border further. We will find a way to stop the EU's daily fine." Brussels has a new problem with the same address. x.com/RodDMartin/sta…

The difference between far left Sanchez and conservative Lopez Aliaga to secure the 2nd spot in the runoff against Keiko Fujimori keeps shrinking. Sanchez lead is now only 9,855 votes and many votes remain to be counted in Lopez's strongholds. Anything can happen in Peru.

@Sargon_of_Akkad Great place for a founding myth at that. Once a great city which provided pretty much a third of all ships and marines for the invasion of France at the start of the Hundred years war. Twice as much as London.

@Cal_III Playing England in EU5 game me great appreciation for Great Yarmouth as it is the best harbor in Norfolk where more than 10% of the population lives in 1337 and still close enough to London.

@ProudBavaria Without Paradox I wouldn´t have gone through uni with history, wouldn´t have gone through the army leading me to end up as a prison guard. Also wouldn´t have become keen on all worldly politics and travelled the world as much as I did.

We all joke about it, but, in truth, it cannot be overstated how impactful Paradox has been. Entire generations will forever perceive history differently from now on. Flaws and all, Paradox has done better than most would have. Largely because almost all PDS devs love history.

Sorry for the bad handwriting. 13–16 years old: I didn’t know any better, and my worldviews were fairly simple. 16–18 years old: What broke me out of being left-wing was the behavior of various SJWs (as we called them back then), along with the realization that Trump wasn’t actually the monster he was portrayed as. 18–22 years old: As a university student, I became extremely dissatisfied with government bloat. However, I had no good answers to practical questions like: “How the hell are we going to defend the nation?” and “How would small libertarian city-states defend themselves against larger enemies who could pick them off one by one?” I was also disillusioned with democracy. I wondered: “How do we prevent people from voting away our small libertarian enclaves in favor of big government?” To me, raw libertarianism always felt like it was missing something important. 22–23 years old: I concluded that a monarchy is probably the best solution to the democracy problem. It allows the government to function more like a private enterprise (since it effectively becomes private property). Historically, the relationship between local lords and the monarch was largely contractual — very much in line with libertarian ideals. A monarch also provides the stable order necessary for a libertarian society to survive and function long-term.(I later learned about Hoppeanism and respected it, but I still felt some form of monarchist system fit better.) 23–25 years old: After university, I got a proper job and quickly realized how many people will screw you over whether there are regulations or not. This reinforced my view that a monarch is ideal for setting clear rules on what types of behavior should and should not be allowed in the national market. I also developed an appreciation for Kaiser Wilhelm II, which i like to call the “King of the Workers.” I saw how specific corporations are willing to sell out libertarian principles, their own nation, and its workers in pursuit of quick profits - often at the expense of quality of life and long-term economic health of everyone else and even themselves. The level of rational explained in economics books just do not exist in the minds of the average person sadly. Some libertarians will call it corporatism. I just call it stupidity and a lack of foresight within the entire industry. Even now we are accelerating to a level of automation never seen before, and I genuinely wonder how the hell an economy is supposed to function if there's no audience that can even buy the product or service. We are already suffering from fake jobs.

@ADEforEU @EPPGroup Politicians react to their people´s needs... if only to save their jobs. And there are sadly leagues of people who had to taste diversity to start being vocally against migration. My mother is as racist as I am but no matter what I do, she would not vote for a PfE or ESN party.

@MichalYuriy @EPPGroup I learned that the hard way. PP, CDU, Macron's party, VVD and other dominant European parties are in the EPP and started this, now they only approach anti immigration cause they lose ground to actual hardliners

Migration policy is not a political game. Sánchez’s government pushed through a decree to regularise over 500,000 migrants - bypassing Parliament and sidelining EU partners. The EU Migration Pact exists to prevent unilateral steps like this. Migration decisions in one Member State affect all 27. That is why the EPP Group has advanced the new Return Regulation: credible migration policy requires controlled entry and effective returns, not shortcuts. As Alberto Núñez Feijóo has rightly stated, Parliament must be involved, and EU partners must be consulted.

@thedchss Stačí být trochu flexibilní... třeba si najít spolubydlící nebo změnit místo bydliště a hned to půjde. Pak aspoň nebudete žádat aby stát bral těm kteří tak učinili aby mohl víc dávat vám. 😉
