I have meet at least 50 former Catholics in the non-denom church I’ve been a part of.
100% of them were not catechized even halfway. Examples include not knowing the Catholic Bible had more books, why we pray to saints, or even that the Catholics claim to be the one true church.

@TexasPreacher I’ve met many. I make it a point to ask them basic questions about the Faith. In EVERY single case—so far—they knew almost nothing. Where are the many respected, orthodox Catholics who in recent days became protestant? Indeed, we can name many who went the other way.

These numbers are very hard to wrap one’s head around. Where are the videos of the massive battles? Typically we only get drone footage of some poor lone sod being chased across a field. Weird air of unreality about it all.

In 2003 I was not Catholic, but found myself in Spain for Holy Week.
I had never even heard of a religious procession. But on my way home one night I got cut off by one. It was like getting mugged by history, tradition, beauty, and Catholicism all at once. It was glorious.
