@TheMuppetPastor The Protestant reformation happened 200 years prior. The whole world would be different, no major event would have happened the same
English

There is no American revolution without the Protestant reformation.

Which opinion about history will get you like this?
English

@ArchangeloRom @ryanburge Many Catholics do that, and that’s a good thing. But overall, as that source says, there is not much of a difference between traditions.

English

Many Mass-attending Catholics employ NFP or nothing. These studies aren’t excellent though as they confuse the rhythm method with NFP (the latter of which works well, the former of which is frought). Of course, the ones who do use contraception sin gravely and are liable to the fires of hell. We can’t help it if people willingly try to follow Jesus on their own terms instead of His terms. ncronline.org/opinion/cathol…
English

Catholics are just as likely to use birth control as the general population.

DRAGO@dragodimitrov
I think attachment to contraception is the #1 thing holding Protestants back from becoming Catholic.
English

@ArchangeloRom @ryanburge It seems that regular attending Catholics are less likely to get divorced than regularly attending Protestants (assuming this data is talking about Protestants and not evangelicals). But I can’t find any data supporting contraceptive use. It seems contraceptive use is the norm.

English

@David73Means @ryanburge And Mass attending Catholics are far less likely to use contraception and have an extremely low overall divorce rate in the US.

English

@ArchangeloRom @ryanburge Church attending Protestants are less likely to divorce than the general population.
English

@ryanburge And Protestants are typically more likely to divorce than the general population. It doesn’t mean divorce is ok, or does it? A Protestant considering conversion to Catholicism isn’t considering a conversion to a fake cultural Catholicism.
English

@ryanburge The “Atheists” and “Agnostics” have been pretty consistent the past two decades. Only the “nothing in particular” has been moving. That’s interesting.
English

@Putin_Will_Fall @Badhombre It’s not about animal testing. It’s about abandoning the animals in cages.
English

@Badhombre Animal testing is legal and Elon does it as well and Elon is way more brutal.
Proof of Green Card fraud?
Did the investors sue? SEC?
Is anything here with merit?
English

Reminder that Shri Thanedar tortured dogs and monkeys, drove his first wife to suicide after using her for a green card, defrauded investors in his company, had to settle another fraud case with Bank of America, paints on his eyebrows, and wears a dead beaver on his head.

@BeSaintly What about publicly sharing your wife’s sexual history on twitter?
English

@David73Means @BeSaintly Do you condemn Rabbinical Talmudism and those antichrists who hate Jesus?
English

Pray God has mercy on this man

@johnfournier77 @BeSaintly “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.”
English

Why should I pray for mercy for a man who mercilessly destroyed the daughters of millions of loving parents?
Only those who are merciful receive mercy. Jesus himself said the merciful were blessed.

English

@j_fishback So you'll be returning all campaign funding if you lose, right?
English

@AVLimitanei It was oversimplified. But that’s kind of the point. The target audience doesn’t know anything about the English civil war.
Rewatching it, I did notice small detail errors. But overall it was accurate.
English

@David73Means It was oversimple and all geared toward propogandizing his Reconquista, and he gets just a bunch of small detail wrong. How are you supposed to explain the factionalism within the CofE by skipping over bloody Mary?
English

@TheRhetorRick @NewBlockCath Protestants were named because German princes “protested” the diet of Speyer.
English

@NewBlockCath Protestants were named for their predilection for positively stating what they believed (from the Latin protestare (to testify), which did not carry the modern sense of "protest"). The proliferation of doctrinal confessions written in the 16th-17th centuries was unprecedented.
English

@ryanburge I can’t imagine why a civil war reenactment would be racist.
