@TELUSsupport Not sure why I have to resort to X to get support but can someone reach out? I cant get through to phone support, or they just leave me on hold for 30+ minutes. You're scheduled install of internet service at our new house was not ready, and still have no internet.

I've been buying a bunch of PVMs for SuperStation analog testing over the last month, with two that have Y/C as their best output. Even though it was already possible to get Y/C from the DIN10 port, I decided to add a dedicated S-Video connector to the side of SS1.

Attention -- a bug due to our recent website redesign is causing many of you to receive phantom/duplicate order confirmation emails. Please ignore them. Thank you!

It would be an interesting demo-scene thing to make the modern equivalent of an Atari 2600 on an FPGA — no frame buffer, you have to race the HDMI scan out with just a single line buffer and a trivial amount of ram and rom. I got a new Atari 2600+ recently, and while it is neat that it can play original carts, seeing it boot up a whole OS to load Stella feels kind of tragic.

@hn12v1_jp @iequalshane You can add an inductor and cap to the luma signal to clean things up, but some systems are definitely more prone to this in the luma signal

@iequalshane Essentially, this is due to the beat interference between the Dot clock of the VDP and the synchronous SBCR (subcarrier) of the composite video encoder. Some people use non-synchronized SBCR oscillators which reduce rainbows, but some patterns produce large areas of flicker

Twitter compression might destroy this but Analogue DAC composite versus Sega Genesis 3 composite.

@hn12v1_jp In this case, it was the Analogue DAC with the Mega Sg with serious cross color issues.

128mb ram modules at 20$ from @TakiUdon_ testing well with stock DE-10 (148-150Mhz). #MiSTerFPGA

@iequalshane That's one way to clean up that composite signal to upscale straight to 4k!

Some say Sega went too far with the add-ons but I don't think they went far enough. In fact, they should release a new one with HDMI output, an online store, and other enhancements.

@echo4delta79 Any 5V rail will work for power though I always tried to separate the led circuit with the sound, is the ring cyclotron something specific or do you just mean a 40 led ring ? I had designed it for both the jewel and added the ring for afterlife a year later.

@MikeSimone3 I'm almost done with the shell, but I had a question about your github's proton pack. Will your code work with the ring cyclotron or just the Pixel Jewels? Also, do I need a 5v stepper if I'm running off a power pack that has both 12v and a 5v?

Apologies for retweeting something here meant for my personal account @jackal27 (where I share a lot of cool indie games), but glad I could could give the developer involved some extra attention regardless, lol.

Help shape one of the MiSTer consoles currently in development! Q: Is component video-out worth having if it makes the back of the console a little crowded? (Composite video-out / left side, 1 USB A port / right side, and two populated SNAC + 1 USB A / front )

@TakiUdon_ If it allows for S-Video through two of them and has a good luma trap that can be passed in for composite I'm all for it! Let me know if you need help tuning the luma trap :)
