Twitter used to be a wonderful place to go after a great sports moment. It was full of interesting, funny, insightful people talking about what was great about what we just saw.

If the expectation is for the referee tasked with sprinting down the court as fast as possible to keep turning around in case the coach wants a timeout and hesitated, why isn’t it the expectation for the coach to realize turning to the baseline ref is the better move?

Not only was Sendek signaling timeout after Santa Clara's made 3, but Oweh catches the ball and takes a dribble before the clock starts. Kentucky unbelievably lucky to escape that all-time end to regulation.

One reason why you shouldn’t tweet stuff like this is it values pedantry over the greatness of sport. It isn’t valuable and only brings the conversation down.
The second is because the game clock on TV is typically behind the game clock in reality, and then you’re just wrong.

Someone just complained to me how in OBAA Leo is the leader of the French 75 (so it's a white guy leading black women). Huh? Isn't he pretty clearly a hanger-on member? His first lines are how he doesn't even know what the plan is and then he drops out to raise the baby.
