BREAKING NEWS: $2.3 million missing from Grand Rapids social equity program and non-profit called Seeding Justice. Originally framed as voluntary for cannabis operators, the program provided several options to make equity commitments, including ownership residency and workforce diversity targets. The city commission later amended the social equity program to tie commitments to cannabis operators’ special land use that is required for cannabis businesses to legally operate in the city.

I had a few conversations last night with people who voted for President Trump in 2024, and it caught my attention. These weren’t hardcore party loyalists, more independent-minded voters. A few told me they’re starting to question their vote. Now to be clear, this was only a small handful of people, not some big data set. But it’s real, and it’s something I’m hearing. Whether it’s widespread or not, I don’t know yet. My job isn’t to take sides, it’s to tell you what I’m seeing and hearing on the ground. If this sentiment grows, it could matter in the midterms. Or it could fade. Time will tell. But this is happening, whether people want to believe it or not.

Donald Trump was overwhelmingly elected by the American people to be our President and Commander in Chief. As our Commander in Chief, he is responsible for determining what is and is not an imminent threat, and whether or not to take action he deems necessary to protect the safety and security of our troops, the American people and our country.  The Office of the Director of National Intelligence is responsible for helping coordinate and integrate all intelligence to provide the President and Commander in Chief with the best information available to inform his decisions.  After carefully reviewing all the information before him, President Trump concluded that the terrorist Islamist regime in Iran posed an imminent threat and he took action based on that conclusion.

🚨 Let’s clear up a HUGE Michigan voting misconception. Many people believe you must show a driver’s license to register or vote in Michigan. That’s not always how the law works. Under current Michigan law, a person can register to vote without a driver’s license, and if they arrive at the polls without photo ID, they can still vote by signing an affidavit of identity affirming who they are. That’s one reason some lawmakers are pushing for stronger voter ID requirements and proof-of-citizenship safeguards in Michigan elections. Non-citizens should never be voting in American elections. When that line is blurred, it undermines confidence in the system and weakens the voice of every American citizen.

Why would Trump pull a sitting US Senator for homeland security? Last I checked there were not an abundance of those on his side, and he can’t afford to lose any

I cant imagine trying to rebuild on X. At least for me it would be hard. Facebook was crazy. My main account was suspended for 6 months, for deleting "friends" too fast that I had accumulated from a Facebook game. Fortunately I had a dummy account I was using for the game, and was able to stay in contact with those people I knew and liked and it became the name most people knew me by. Ive been dragging them back to my main Facebook account for years now.

I am a Christian grandmother married to my husband for over 50 years. Basically I wanted to sue the snot out of them. I used that account for DOG RESCUE!

Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our democracy. But right now, they’re under attack. Several Republican-controlled states have redrawn their congressional maps to give themselves an unfair advantage in the midterm elections. Now Virginia has a chance to help level the playing field.
