I was born in New York City 54 years ago today by a young black single mother. This was at a time when free abortions were booming in the inner cities. Statistically I'm very fortunate Planned Parenthood didn't get me too.

I guess I really messed up. As we were leaving church today, a woman complained that it was snowing. My beloved, without missing a beat, told her it was my fault because I had put all the snow shovels away.

@TheMuppetPastor There are organic and psychological issues that can cause this. Fear of not being able to perform is a self fulfilling prophecy. I'd recommend a complete physical and counseling.

If he truly is asexual, it would explain so much. He doesn’t need to feel guilty and nether do you. We should not expect him to do something he can’t. Can you get this confirmed by a medical professional? It may help him to see why he lacks interest, and it can give you peace knowing he can’t be the man you need. Instead of fighting or being angry, you both could have some closure understanding his issue and how it’s nothing personal. This sounds similar to a marriage with a gay spouse. We wouldn’t ask the other partner to life a sexless marriage with someone who isn’t interested. I’d want to get that confirmed, however.

For me, it’s almost any “big hair band” but especially Poison. Specifically “Every Rose Has its Thorn.” I had every cassette (and then CD). I memorized every single song. I even named my cat C.C., after the guitarist C.C. DeVille. Okay, your turn. What song takes you back?

So she’s dipping her foot into the pool. That’s wrong and she shouldn’t be doing that. I’m sure there’s enough blame to go around in your marriage, but you do need to object to this. Admitting your own flaws will make it better.

@5Solas2 Just because they don't align themselves with a particular denomination doesn't mean they're not aligned with the Bible!

SISTER HEALTH UPDATE: 💔 Hey team, I just talked to my sister and unfortunately the news is not very good. It turns out she has major blockages in her heart and is going to have to have multiple bypass surgery in the next few days here. Please continue your prayers for her. This is going to be a long difficult road.

Just spoke to my sister. She took the helicopter flight to the bigger hospital and they've given her a bunch of medications that have made her feel much better. They're going to be keeping her overnight and doing further tests to find out what caused this heart attack. I really appreciate everybody's prayers. Right now the news is good. ❤️😇🙏

Received a prayer request: I have an urgent prayer request. My aunt has dementia, and my 83 year old mom is taking primary care of her 8 hours away from me. It looks like some good intervention for my aunt and respite for Mom is going to fall through...AGAIN. I try to help and visit frequently, but Mom is just...worn out. Please pray that if God wills, this respite/intervention care doesn't fall through again. And help me know how to best help Mom.

@TheMuppetPastor I believe that Jesus sees each person as someone worth dying for. When He hung on the cross He was taking responsibility for His Creation. That kind of love goes against every grain of the flesh.

Many people who have not read the Bible are fond of telling others that it’s a book teaching us to love one another. Mind you, it DOES tell us that. But it spends countless pages showing us how much we humans fail at doing so, even killing the prophets God sent to warn us. It tells us God Himself came in human form, lived a perfect life, and we killed Him anyway. If anything, the Bible teaches us how much we hate the truth, how greatly we prefer sin over goodness, and how willingly we walk away. And despite all of this, for reasons we can’t comprehend, God STILL chooses to love us and give us numerous chances to repent. God gave us a way out of sin. God modeled behaviors we need to follow. And God proved that without Him, we can’t be good. We can’t love one another like Christ did if we aren’t following Christ. If anything, the Bible teaches us that God had every reason to give up on humanity, yet He has chosen to redeem us anyway, despite our imperfections. Love is looking at a broken, wicked populace, and still seeing good in them. And when we understand just how undeserving we humans are, we can learn to love a God who submitted to torture and death on a cross simply because He loved us more than we could love Him in return. “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 ESV All means you, me, and everyone else, even those yet to be born. I don’t know why God puts up with humanity, and yet He does, wanting all of us to be redeemed and giving us innumerable chances. So yes, the Bible teaches us to love, yet it also teaches us how unloveable we are and how much we fail to love. How we can ONLY love in Jesus, for without Him, we fail. We don’t know why Jesus gave us a second chance, nor will we ever discern why this side of heaven. All we can do is demonstrate our thankfulness and live accordingly.
