Good season @GatorsMBK. Coach Golden looked handsome and sleek in his undersized pullover, as always. He also looked SO cool cussing out another coach on live television! That’s a great example and very classy.

We should schedule High Point next year. It solves problems for everyone. 1. High Point coach gets to quit complaining about no one wanting to play them. (Where is High Point?) 2. We get some slightly above average competition before SEC play. @HighPointSports

@SmiffSteven I hear you. That’s a great point about trackman and umpire audit playing a role here. I’m not against technology, I just think the strike zone is a hard thing to apply it to.

@NoCompHarrison I think trackman and umpire audit also have a role to be played in this. I’m very glad it’s a challenge system and not full ABS however. At some point (like in other sports) if we have to tech, you should use it. Challenges at least makes sure they’re confident in your execution

I have a multitude of issues with the pitch clock, bigger bases, collisions at home plate, etc. Perhaps my biggest qualm is with ABS. On screen strike zones started this mess My issues: 1. We are taking the nuance out of baseball to cater to the viewer. This is not sustainable.

@dirtygay52 Exactly! People are so afraid to take ownership of a loss. Losing is not dishonorable. This is literally why “The Man in the Arena” is my pinned tweet.

@NoCompHarrison They don’t even get the 3 on 3 excuse that the Canadians had. That was 27 outs of baseball the way they’ve been played for a century

@Benson_Four_3 To me. This is subjective by nature. Everyone is a different size, but that’s obvious. The subjectivity comes into play for me when talking about midpoint of uniform, below knee cap, etc. I mean that could change based on how you wear your pants!

@NoCompHarrison Honest question (I promise I’m trying to learn): What about the strike zone is extremely subjective? How does the rule book create a subjective zone?

3. It will continue a misunderstanding of the strike zone that on-screen zones have created in the average viewer. The strike zone is a dynamic thing. Not where the dot pops up relative to a rectangle on your screen. Changes based on pitch type, umpires interpretation, etc.

2. The strike zone is extremely subjective based on the rule book. Trying to objectively measure something that is subjective is impossible and stupid.

POMPEY baby. Keep talking bad about our hitters, turns out hitting high level pitching is a hard thing to do…. maybe give them some time to get going before you get twitter fingers.

@JaredGates02 I agree. Would be stupid not too. But that’s not exactly what I’m getting at. Let me rephrase the question. Do you think leaving a lot of runners on base be a characteristic of a high run production offense or low run production offense?

@NoCompHarrison If you win the last game of the year in Cary, NC it’s a sign of a good offense. If you don’t win the last game of the year in Cary, NC it’s a sign of a bad offense.
