ICE guards are betting on which detainee will kill themselves next. The AP just exposed the savage conditions of a detention camp in El Paso. The Associated Press got inside Camp East Montana. What they found should be on the front page of every newspaper in this country until it closes. About 3,000 people packed in per day. Loud, unsanitary quarters crawling with insects. Food so scarce that detainees steal from each other just to eat. Disease spreading through filthy rooms, showers, and restrooms that go uncleaned. People losing weight. People unable to see a doctor. People losing their minds. Staff made nearly one 911 call per day in the camp's first five months. One call captures a man sobbing after being assaulted by another detainee. Another has a doctor describing a man banging his head against a wall while expressing suicidal thoughts. A nurse calls about a pregnant woman in severe pain with coronavirus. Detainees suffering seizures, some resulting in serious head trauma. Ages ranged from a 19-year-old who fell from a bunk to a 79-year-old who couldn't breathe. And then there's the detail that should haunt this administration for the rest of its existence. Owen Ramsingh, a former property manager from Columbia, Missouri, who spent weeks in the camp before being deported to the Netherlands, told the AP he overheard a security guard talking about a betting pool among the staff. They were wagering on which detainee would be next to die by suicide. The guard said he had put $500 in. The total pot rode on the outcome. Ramsingh said the talk was particularly devastating because he had contemplated suicide himself. Guards are gambling on the deaths of people in their custody. People who are hungry. People who are sick. People who are begging for help through 911 calls that come in every single day. And the staff turned it into a game. This is not some rogue facility. This is the system working exactly as this administration designed it. Overcrowded by policy. Underfed by neglect. Understaffed by choice. They built a place where human beings deteriorate and then the people paid to watch over them place bets on who breaks first. The AP has the data. The recordings. The interviews. The court filings. This is documented. This is real. This is happening right now in El Paso, Texas, in the United States of America. Share this. Do not let them bury it under another news cycle.

@Gianl1974 My man, you're Italian. Your people literally practiced fascism as a government and the country you're engagement farming off of by pandering to crazy cat ladies who don't know that had to stomp your asses to make you see the error of your ways. 🤣

@fine_robin11704 @TheyFearFreedom @Gianl1974 @PaulDereume Are you still hung up on that "retention" flub? Honestly, that was the least egregious screw up you've made in this thread. No, you didn't play the spellcheck gambit after I expressly told you why it would be a bad idea. Good for you! And for the record, my PhD is in DVDA.

@fine_robin11704 @TheyFearFreedom @Gianl1974 @PaulDereume And PLEASE, I'm saying this as a favor to your damaged ego, do not try to blame that horrible screw up on spellcheck. Unless you've been misspelling it for awhile, spellcheck wouldn't have misspelled it after you had gotten it right. It actually should have caught your mistake...

@fine_robin11704 @TheyFearFreedom @Gianl1974 @PaulDereume Since Google is apparently broken, it's Auschwitz, not "Aushwitz." Misspelling the most famous death camp in history is only forgivable if you haven't already claimed authority, comparing the gassing and burning of your own people to illegals who can leave any time they want.

@fine_robin11704 @TheyFearFreedom @Gianl1974 @PaulDereume Also, since you very much care about "Aushwitz" [sic], could you quickly Google it and spell it for us just one more time simply to show us how familiar you are with it and how it looks exactly the same? I know it might be inconvenient, but remember, "work sets you free."

@fine_robin11704 @TheyFearFreedom @Gianl1974 @PaulDereume *comprehension It would be "Apparently, you have reading comprehension issues." Retention would be recalling it and its meaning later. I read it, immediately saw how unhinged it was, and paraphrased fairly accurately how claiming ethnic authority over actual film works.

@Shan11tweet Not sure saying "this is happening right now in El Paso" when the pics are from McAllen in 2019 was the best method for this particular call to action.

@AmericanPT So...people would have Tweeted about the Nazis rounding up their neighbors for performative tribal signaling while queuing up the next show on their streaming watch list? Is that where you're going with this?

If you wonder what you would have done when they started to round up your neighbors and put them in camps, now is your chance. Tolerating inhumanity to your fellow man is a line you can not cross and come out with your soul intact.

A whole lot of Logic fallacy in that post… On the flip side, Israel has military and clandestine operations building in the middle of civilian areas as well as air defense systems, which, “launch missiles” and are legitimate military targets, But never mind that…. Or the Missile Assassinations which were on civilian buildings and killed other civilians… or the… or the… Man it gets ugly 🪞

A leaked internal directive from the IRGC’s missile command appears to show that the use of civilian locations to conceal, support and in some cases facilitate missile launch operations is not ad hoc, but structured, documented and built into operational planning. iranintl.com/en/202603319302

@Angry_Staffer Getting mad about going after a country's ability to continue fighting when, if you don't, there will be a far higher death toll, is funny when we've all been listening to Progressives talk about how precious human life is for the last twenty years. Lol

Because the Elk v Wilkins ruling shows that there's SCOTUS precedent that the 14th Amendment was specifically implemented to address former slaves only and not children born to any foreign nationals. I don't necessarily think it will fly (US v Wong Kim Ark followed that), but to immediately go "rAcIsT" shows a lack of fundamental understanding of how US legal precedent works in all cases that follow.
