The Chargers played zone the 5th most, over 80% of plays! It's usually a problem for QBs too… except Drake Maye, who ate zone alive this year: 74.9% completion %, 9.2 YPA, 110.2 rating. If Chargers DC Jesse Minter wants to play “bend don’t break,” Maye’s going to play “thanks for the free yards” all day.
