Welcome to the beginning.
I'm going to start writing out my thoughts about @babyjesuscoin and Web3 in general as journals from now on. I don't expect many to read them (especially at the beginning.) That's okay.
As a Carl (Grok: What is The Crazy Carl Collective?), it's my duty in Web3 to do anything I can to uplift my community... That's what Web3 is all about. This space was supposed to get rid of the greed, and focus on the WAGMI... The spirit of growing together, and therefore winning together... yet here we are.
Often times when I'm scrolling X I feel like I'm in the backrooms of corporate America. Where greed and showmanship run rampant. The 4% are winning while 96% are chasing little wins just for dopamine hits as they slowly lose everything.
FUCK THAT.
I got into this space to build the future of the Digital Universe with other amazing people. After building out The Crazy About Crypto Show, I started receiving offers for ad space. For those of you who don't recall, FTX bought ad space. A LOT OF IT. They blew up because they were in people's faces. Your favorite celebrity made it feel safe.
FUCK THAT.
Web2 preyed on humans. We came to the internet to get closer to our friends, and family just to slowly be turned into pawns of the algorithm.
Web3 isn't different if it's just using different tools to do the same Web2 shit and monetizing the consumer constantly.
From the very early days of The Crazy About Crypto Show I promised myself and the audience that I would NEVER monetize them. If I won, I wanted us all to win.
There was one problem with this. The space in late 2021 couldn't be trusted. Too many founders preying on their "community." Everything was too new to know what truly had lasting power.
There was only one option, find like minded people. Part of doing the CAC show was to learn more about founders, but the bigger part was to find others that were like minded with me and saw the same vision for Web3. Over 200 hours of interviews with legends like @beeple , @farokh , @mfigge , @ajv , @soby0x , @cloncast , @tropoFarmer , @notthreadguy , @DeeZe , etc. These networks allowed us to learn from the builders/leaders of the space at the time, and then also to grow together.
It was a journey I went through together with a lot of you.. my new Web3 frens.. We learned together, laughed together, even cried together a time or two..
That is Web3.
BLOCKCHAIN is an immutable timestamp.
That is the power. It's a record of the journey.
This journal will live on X just like Crypto Tats @CTxNOMOZ by NOMOZ will forever have lived their first days with the OG Carls.
Networks start very small. They build trust. They grow. And as trust and the network grows, the OG leaders step up and guide the way forward for the next generation. This is how civilization is created.
The Carls are forever, we have become immutable. The network of trust took years. It had its ups and downs, but we made it through the bear.
There was no infrastructure. We had no identity. We had no way to connect ourselves immutably.. UNTIL NOW. The Carls have been slow and steady for 3 years building all these things out. We have evolved from nothing into a force of Web3 OGs that believe in helping each other and building each other up.
Carls, I'm telling you. Now is the time to rise up. OTHERS feel the same way we do. A lot of others. They have been looking for us for years while we were building our foundation strong enough to last a lifetime.
