“As the political leader of the opposition in Udenu LGA, , I am now declaring that all of us are moving from ADC to NDC. We have all agreed that anybody in NDC is for Mr. Peter and Peter Obi alone.” — People of Udenu in Enugu state declare support for NDC, as they decamp from ADC to NDC

If @GEJonathan run, I will give 20 people who were the first to comment on this post , £100 each. GEJ won’t be contesting any election in Nigeria. Not now, not in the future. Atiku was part of those who fiercely opposed GEJ but somehow he is Atikulates darling Okpos 🖕🏾

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

That interview on Arise was really AA’s chance to unite and galvanize the opposition Could have praised your fellow opposition members, geared the populace & fired hard on APC It might seem inconsequential but it was a serious misstep and blunder to me A major minor crossroad

@nicholasibekwe Just like @iykimo said, many people aren't thinking. Removing the ruling party should be the aim of every opposition members now and nothing else. Ego and selfishness should be put aside and that is if they really care about ordinary Nigerians.

Why should it be about him. Shouldn't it be about getting the ruling party out? If he leaves and join a new party, he would end up splitting the votes like in 2023.
Jamal@JajaPhD

If he stays in ADC and doesn’t get the ticket, he definitely won’t be president. If he leaves and gets the ticket elsewhere, he may become president. What’s the sensible thing to do for someone who wants to be president?

The people who started attacking and insulting Obi's tribe in 2022 were Atiku supporters. They started even when Obi was still in PDP consulting. In fact, the people who started branding Obi and his supporters as IPOB were Atiku/PDP supporters, not even APC.

I have a theory about the average Nigerian that has been able to japa: Many of them went through hell to leave the shithole behind. Some sold lands and left thrieving businesses in search of greener pasture. After all that sacrifices, they feel that Nigeria working would be a damnation to all their efforts. It would mean they did it all for nothing. As such, they do not want it to work. The most notorious of them are in the YouKay.
Kalu Aja@FinPlanKaluAja1

I see someone that japaed to Canada arguing that education should not be subsidised for Nigerian children Let them show you one tweet, just one, where they have criticised or called out the excess spending of the Executive or legislative Just one tweet They can't Evil muppets It's evil. Pure unadulterated evil masquerading as politics Tufia

The easiest way for a man to go broke is by womanizing. Honestly, that’s a huge mistake. It drains a lot of resources and energy from men who are trying to succeed in life. Tell me, how can you go on a date with a woman and spend almost 200,000 to 250,000 naira, then pay 60,000 to 80,000 naira for a standard hotel, excluding drinks and food plus the extra money you give her as a thank-you for coming? Honestly, I think it’s better to focus on marrying more wives than than to keep spending money on women who are not your wife. Eziokwu bu ndu🪶
