How could families afford a home in the 1950s on a single income? Because they lived within their means and lived without all the "must haves" today. The people in the 1950 were realistic, grateful and happy. People of today (the complainers) are unrealistic, entitled and miserable.

My 16yr old son finished his first shift at his first job last night. Picked him up at 10pm and he looked beat. He was a little sad on the way home. I asked what was wrong. He said he felt like he’s growing up too fast and that his childhood is over now.

I just put a few tomato cages around the peonies to try and keep them upright through the rain. Hopefully the extra support helps them throw out more blooms than they have in the past.

so far so good. we have 10 total peonies caged up around the Acres and I go by each morning making sure they’re properly weaving their way through the holes. I will keep the peonies upright this year if it’s the last thing I do!

This is why you need to wait until your kids are 8+ to take them to Disney. They need to be well out of the nap era, able to walk 20k steps and not whine, and most importantly - be able to appreciate and remember it. No reason to take babies or toddlers to Disney.
