@QBakels TBH you're the problem, not the world. "I can't stand up for myself, therefore it must be the end times."

An unnoticed difference: —The Orthodoxy of the Old Russian monasteries was a high-trust environment. —The Orthodoxy of online convert Orthodoxy is a remarkably low-trust environment. This is something the grifters exploit.

Our team just returned from an important trip through Asia to build on our key partnerships and work together on stopping threats before they reach American shores. One of the most important stops we had on this trip was in China to address the fentanyl crisis – an issue killing so many Americans year after year, and one that @realDonaldTrump has given his team a mandate to defeat. This was the first time in a decade that an FBI Director has received an audience with his counterpart to discuss the fentanyl crisis directly.   I’ve said before: targeting the precursors is the key – this is the agent that turns fentanyl into a deadly chemical that destroys lives. Cut off the precursors and you crush the drug trafficking industry and starve critical deadly drug pipelines fueled by cartels in Mexico.   President Trump has been working around the clock with President Xi on this issue to reach an agreement. We went to Beijing seeking to get 13 precursors listed. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership and direct engagement with President Xi, we reached an agreement to have all 13 listed - as well as 7 chemicals restricted. It’s a historic success.   This will be a huge asset for the @FBI and our partners in saving American lives and defeating the fentanyl crisis. We’re cutting off the flow of fentanyl before it comes to us.   Thanks to the many partners who continue to work so hard to make this happen – @AGPamBondi, @DAGToddBlanche, @USAmbChina, and more. Thank you to @POTUS for the continued leadership on such an important issue for American families all over the country.

Pete Hegseth: Do you know how many troops claim to be Nordic Pagan? Suddenly it's become this fake religious affiliation inside the Pentagon so they can grow a beard and no one challenges them because no one's upheld standards for a long time. Now a quarter of the platoon is sporting beards because they're suddenly Nordic Pagans. We're not doing that stuff anymore.

This entire picture you painted collapses the moment we actually let Scripture speak instead of forcing assumptions into it. No preacher who believes the Bible would ever say what you just wrote, because the Bible itself never speaks that way. Let me answer you plainly without any exaggeration or straw men. First, Scripture never tells us to stand in a room and identify who is elect. Never. That knowledge belongs to God alone. Deuteronomy 29:29. Our task is simple: preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15. Call all to repent. Acts 17:30. Offer Christ freely and sincerely to all. Isaiah 55:1. Second, the message of sovereign grace never says, “There is nothing you can do.” Scripture says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13. And then it tells you why some call and others do not: faith itself is a gift of God. Ephesians 2:8. The natural man does not come because he cannot come. First Corinthians 2:14. The Spirit must give life. John 6:63. That is not cruelty. That is rescue. Third, you keep saying God is preventing willing sinners from coming. The Bible says the opposite. There are no willing sinners. Romans 3:11. No one seeks God. No one comes unless drawn. John 6:44. The issue is not that the lost are begging for salvation and heaven refuses. The issue is that the lost reject Christ until God opens their eyes. Second Corinthians 4:4. The miracle is that God breaks that rebellion in anyone. Fourth, you quote “God so loved the world” as if world always means everyone without exception. But Scripture uses world in many ways. In John 12:19 it means the crowds. In John 17:9 it excludes unbelievers. In John 1:10 it means humanity in rebellion. You cannot build a doctrine on an English word without context. John 3:16 is not teaching universal salvation. It is teaching that God saves people from every tribe and nation, not just Israel. Fifth, you say God offers a gift but refuses to give it. Scripture says the gift is Christ Himself, and He gives Himself to all whom the Father gives Him. John 6:37. And everyone the Father gives will come. Not one is lost. John 6:39. Sixth, the “God is love” mockery does not land because the Bible defines love differently than you do. Love is this: that God saves any rebel at all. Romans 5:8. Love is not God trying and failing. Love is God choosing and accomplishing. Now here is the most important point, and I want you to hear this plainly: The gospel we preach is simple. Come to Christ. Believe. Repent. Live. And everyone who truly comes, comes because the Father drew him. And everyone who rejects, rejects because he loves darkness rather than light. John 3:19. We preach to every person without distinction. We do not stand over them guessing destinies. We say exactly what Scripture says: Whoever believes will be saved. Whoever does not believe is condemned already. John 3:18. The doctrine you mock does not shut the door in anyone’s face. It explains why some run through that door with joy and others turn away with hatred in their hearts. The elect are not people God refuses to save. They are people God rescues from themselves. There is no cruelty in that. Only mercy.

The issue is not whether the concept is difficult. The issue is that your argument collapses the moment you place Scripture above sentiment. You keep insisting on free will, but Scripture keeps insisting that the will is in bondage. Jesus said in John 8:34 that everyone who sins is a slave of sin. Paul said in Romans 8:7 that the mind set on the flesh is hostile to God and cannot submit to His law. Dead hearts do not choose life. Blind eyes do not choose light. Slaves do not set themselves free. You say Christ paid for the sins of every person ever conceived. If that were true, then the sins of people in hell have already been paid in full. That is not Scripture. That is contradiction. Jesus said in John 10:11 that He lays down His life for the sheep. He did not say He lays it down for goats, wolves, or every person without distinction. In John 17:9 He said He does not pray for the world but only for those the Father gave Him. He draws only those the Father gives to Him. That is John 6:37 and John 6:44. You say there are too many verses against Limited Atonement. But the very verse you quoted proves the opposite. John 3:16 says God loved the world. That same Gospel uses the word world repeatedly to mean people from every nation, not every individual without exception. John 12:19 does not mean literally every person on earth followed Jesus. John 12:32 does not mean every individual is saved. Context matters. You say God is not willing that any should perish, and then you force the verse to mean God is frustrated and helpless. But the same writer, in the same letter, is writing to the beloved, the elect. That is second Peter 3:1. When Peter says any, he means any of the beloved. Scripture does not contradict itself. You say anyone can call upon the name of the Lord. That is true. But Scripture also tells you why some call and why some do not. Romans 10:14 says no one can believe unless they hear. Romans 10:15 says no one can hear unless someone is sent. Romans 10:20 says God was found by those who did not seek Him. Romans 10:21 says Israel refused because of their own rebellion. There is no free will hero in that chapter. There is only a merciful God and rebels running from Him. You say Jesus wept because they would not come. Correct. But you miss His own explanation. In John 6:65 He said they could not come unless it was granted. In John 10:26 He said they did not believe because they were not His sheep. Not the other way around. You accuse Limited Atonement of slander. Yet the only real slander is the idea that Jesus shed His blood for people who will still bear their own punishment. That makes the blood of Christ powerless. That is a theology of waste. That is not the gospel. The biblical truth is simple. The death of Christ actually saves the people it was intended for. It does not make salvation possible. It accomplishes salvation. It secures salvation. It guarantees salvation. He will save His people from their sins. That is Matthew 1:21. Not attempt to save them. Not hope to save them. Not make them savable. He will save them. The glory of the gospel is not that God tried and failed. The glory is that God saves to the uttermost all whom He intends to save. That is Hebrews 7:25. This is not cold theology. It is the only theology that gives God all the glory.
Duane@Wombat11412

I didn’t think the concept I am arguing would be so difficult to understand. Free will is involved. Christ DID make the full payment for the sins of every person ever conceived, but the righteousness of Christ is not attributed to them because they, by free will, reject it. Thus, their sins remain. There are simply too many verses against Limited Atonement to accept it. The simple statements of Scripture must be twisted to accept it. God is not willing that any should perish … becomes God is not willing that any “of the elect” should perish. Any apparently doesn’t mean any. All who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved … becomes “only the elect (saved)” can call upon the Lord. But you will not come to me that you might have life, means two things quite clearly: 1, Jesus is willing (He wants) to give them life, and 2, they are able to come to Him for that life, but they, by free will and choice, decide not to. Limited Atonement is a calumny and a terrible slander against the loving God who so loved the world (that hates Him) that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.
