What I do know is that people are being thrown into abject, poverty, and homelessness, because of this great deception. This week I was pleased to meet with Moses Lake Mayor Dustin Swartz and Assistant Public Works Director Leigh Ramsey. Together we discussed funding for a second bridge over Moses Lake, drinking water infrastructure, and the regional W20 Project. This initiative is crucial to strengthening municipal water supplies across Grant County and the greater Columbia Basin.

Tonight, I joined my colleagues in passing H.R. 6422—the American Water Stewardship Act. This legislation which would deliver critical funding for the Columbia River Basin program to the tune of $30 million per fiscal year through fiscal year 2031. The Columbia River Basin program is vital to improving our water quality across central and southern Washington, and I urge the Senate to act swiftly to advance this legislation to the President’s desk.
