Jack Smith violated the Constitution and the Department of Justice’s own investigative protocol by reviewing conversations between myself and White House officials following the 2020 election as part of the Arctic Frost investigation. These actions were far-reaching, unconstitutional power grabs that were done without regard for any consequences or recourse, and undermine their credibility entirely. This blatant weaponization of the DOJ is unconscionable, and Jack Smith and his team should be held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The Washington state booth at the Great American State Fair could have reflected our rich history, our farmers, and our scientific innovation as we celebrate and reflect on America’s 250th birthday. Unfortunately, Governor Ferguson chose partisan politics over patriotism.

This week, I was pleased to see Yakama Power's work firsthand. Their work to implement low head hydro, solar, transmission upgrades, and energy storage projects for the Yakama Nation are vital investments in our tribal lands. I look forward to seeing these projects positively impact our communities in the years ahead. Thank you for having me.

This Fourth of July marks the 250th anniversary of America’s independence from the British Empire. We’re reminded of the courage, sacrifice, and enduring principles that made the United States the greatest nation in the history of the world. We have more work to do, and I hope you’ll join me in celebrating this milestone in our nation’s history.

The USMCA has been an economic boost to Central Washington, the United States, and our allies. With that said, an agreement is only good if our trading partners live up to their commitments, and unfortunately, over the past six years, they have failed to do so. @POTUS' decision not to renew it is an opportunity to strengthen enforcement—not a termination of it. The USMCA remains in effect, and I look forward to working with @USTradeRep to address existing issues to best benefit our farmers and ranchers.

While the United States remains one of the most welcoming nations for immigrants, decades of failure to secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws has resulted in the abuse and misuse of birthright citizenship and I supported the administration's efforts to curtail those abuses. The Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution was intended for the children of slaves who were born in the United States, it was not designed for foreign nationals to flock to our borders and secure citizenship for their expected child. While I am disappointed with the ruling from the Supreme Court, this should be a wakeup call for Congress to address our immigration crisis.

I welcome today's Supreme Court ruling in favor of Idaho and West Virginia’s laws preventing biological men from competing against biological women in athletic competitions. Female athletes in Washington state have been forced to compete against male athletes due to Bob Ferguson, Nick Brown, Chris Reykdal, Jamie Pedersen and Laurie Jinkins’ extreme policies. This SCOTUS decision is a win for the girls and their families who have fought for safety and fairness in sports, especially Ahnaleigh Wilson of East Wenatchee and Frances Staudt of Tumwater, who have worked tirelessly on behalf of their peers.

@HouseAppropsGOP has the task of crafting legislation to fund the federal government in the most efficient manner possible. Under Chairman @TomColeOK04 and our Subcommittee chairs' leadership, we have now passed all 12 bills out of committee that will support our farmers and ranchers, invest in our infrastructure, and bolster national security. Meanwhile, Senate Democrats are delaying markups to ultimately force continuing resolutions on the American people. I am proud of the work of my colleagues on the Appropriations Committee to advance all 12 funding measures to the floor, and urge our Senate counterparts to follow suit.

I am pleased to see that @Interior has released more than $7 million in Payments in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) funding to communities across Central Washington. These resources act as a lifeline to support public safety, emergency readiness, and educational resources in counties that have land owned by the federal government. Without this funding, local governments wouldn’t have the resources to provide critical services to rural communities. For many dairy farmers across WA-04, specifically the Lower Yakima Valley, labor availability remains a significant and costly challenge.   That's why I was pleased to see new guidelines providing much-needed clarity regarding dairy operations and their ability to use the H-2A temporary agricultural worker program.    I echo @USDA’s support of this guidance and look forward to continuing to work with this administration to strengthen our agricultural industry. usda.gov/about-usda/new…
