@pannmcadoo I don’t talk about destructive tornadoes as awesome. Even though I don’t chase in the plains anymore, I was still heartbroken seeing what happened in Enid. There’s a big difference between finding weather fascinating and enjoying their destructive nature.

I have to say, I didn’t expect to get as much hate from the general public for chasing/seeing a California tornado as I have 😂 apparently people over here don’t want severe weather coverage

@ElementalWolf21 There’s a difference depending on context. Obviously, if a tornado is near anyone or anyone’s property, no decent human being wants it to touch down. Now, if it’s a tornado in the middle of nowhere, not near anything, of course I want it to touch down. That’s what I’m there for.

@RealDLScales No its because most storm chasers do it purely for clout and money. Ive watched storm chasers be UPSET THAT A TORNADO DIDNT LAND!!! That's fucked up.

Monsoon is almost here, and I'm cautiously optimistic. I always tell photographers that if you want to increase your chances to capture something extraordinary you have to be willing to drive more than around sticking around town.

Born and raised in Northern California. When I tell people i’m interested in pursuing severe weather/ storm chasing, they look at me like I am on a suicide mission. I’ve literally had people say ‘Do you wanna die??’ Like. I have learned firsthand that people here do not understand severe weather culture whatsoever.
