Former teacher Jamie Varley has been found guilty of the murder, sexual assault, infliction of grievous bodily harm, and four counts of child cruelty relating to 13-month-old Preston Davey. His partner, John McGowan-Fazakerley, was also found guilty of allowing the death of a child, child cruelty, and sexual assault. The couple were in the process of adopting Preston. Just four months after being placed with them, Preston was taken to hospital unconscious and in cardiac arrest. Despite efforts to save him, he died. They will be sentenced on Thursday, 18th of June at Preston Crown Court.

"We will fight this all the way." Palestine Action remains defiant despite today's Court of Appeal ruling upholding a ban on them as a terrorist organisation. Palestine Action has pledged to take the case to the Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights if necessary. Meanwhile, at least 58 people were arrested outside the Royal Courts of Justice today for expressing support for Palestine Action.

Hundreds of activists gathered outside the Israeli embassy in London on Saturday as part of the international Red Ribbons Campaign, demanding the release of Palestinians held in Israeli prisons and condemning Israel's genocide in Gaza. Demonstrators also called for the immediate release of Palestinian doctor Hussam Abu Safiya, who has spent six months in solitary confinement following his kidnapping from Gaza by Israeli forces.
