Only time Jesus lost followers after a teaching or sermon. Because it was too hard for them to accept. Until Luther split the church every Christian believed that the Eucharist was the body, blood, soul, and divinitiy of Christ. Even Lutheran's today believe Christ is present in communion, but not through transubstantiation.

Luke, Matthew, Mark, John and Paul taught a symbolic Eucharist! They in no way taught the pagan aristotelian philosophy of the transubstantiation eucharist!
Those men are really, the only Christian authors who’s opinion matters since they are the only ones inspired by God!
But you also have Clement of Alexandria, & Tertullian.
Now tell the truth about how the Jewishness of our faith was diminished after Rome demolished Jerusalem twice, and the emphasis of Bible interpretation became overrun by Greek modes of interpretation of scripture that overly spiritualized and allegorized the Bible!
The early church writers are not our instruction in the faith. It’s the inspired written word of God that does that.

Amb Huckabee is correct. This was a mistake by the Israeli police. The security concerns are real, but they should not have prevented the Patriarch from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to conduct the Palm Sunday blessing.
I trust this mistake will be corrected quickly.

My statement re Prohibiting the Latin Patriarch of entering Church of Holy Sepulcher on Palm Sunday: While all Holy sites in the Old City are closed due to safety concerns for mass gatherings including the Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulcher and Al Aqsa Mosque, the action today by the Israel Nat'l Police to deny Latin Patriarch Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa and 3 other priests from entering the Church to offer a blessing on Palm Sunday is an unfortunate overreach already having major repercussions around the world. Home Front Command Guidelines restrict any gatherings to 50 people or less. The 4 representatives of the Catholic Church were well below that restriction. Statements from the Gov't of Israel indicate the action to prohibit Cardinal Pizzaballa entry to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher were for safety reasons, but churches, synagogues, and mosques throughout Jerusalem have met with the restrictions of 50 or less. For the Patriarch to be barred from entry to the Church on Palm Sunday for a private ceremony is difficult to understand or justify. Israel has indicated it will work with the Patriarch to accommodate a safe means of carrying out Holy Week activities.

This is a lie. They don't target Churches. If they were doing that, every single Church in Israel would be powder right now. Stay grounded Rob. Israel is not the enemy. Focus that energy on the Iranian Muslims Global Leaders of State Terrorism, and Hamas the government elected by Palestinians who are also a terrorist state. Oh, and Hezbollah in Lebanon who are also a terrorist organization.

The thief on the cross was saved by perfect contrition and implicit desire for Baptism and the Church in a moment of extraordinary grace outside the ordinary means of salvation established by Christ. Sola Fide also collapses here too. The thief’s final act was not faith alone detached from all response, but an incredible act of repentance, hope, and submission to Christ in the only way left to him. He was not a lifelong Protestant refusing the sacraments, he was a dying man given a unique and unrepeatable grace.
