Excited to announce that @KnotAPIs is now collaborating with @PayPal. With Knot’s CardSwitcher™, PayPal users will soon be able to seamlessly add their PayPal branded cards as a payment method across their favorite merchants—making paying with PayPal easier. From day one, Knot has been building the merchant connectivity layer, removing friction from payments. Everyone wins. Consumers get access to fast, efficient checkouts and merchants can see higher conversion rates with fewer abandoned carts. Excited to team up with PayPal to bring even more innovation to digital payments. More Knot updates coming soon!

I couldn't be more excited to introduce @KnotAPIs newest product: Detect Detect gives Knot customers instant visibility into the accounts their users already have, without any user input. By passing Knot a user's email or phone # in the background, Detect returns a view of a user’s existing accounts, unlocking a completely new layer of intelligence at the very start of the user journey: • Make onboarding feel instant and personalized • Surface offers that actually match where users already engage • Prompt upgrades and actions at the right moment • Strengthen fraud detection with real account-level signals • Unlock a new layer of competitive intelligence For issuers, that means better intelligence, unique signals, and a cheat sheet for next-best actions. For merchants, it means a deeper understanding of their customers from the first interaction. If you’re already working with Knot, reach out, and we’ll get you enabled (API docs below).

Nearly 4 years ago, @marcbaghadjian and I had the crazy idea to build a credit card company. I was 19. Not the Odyssey, nor the Iliad, but our own small epic that we wrote day by day. We knew the odds and we embarked anyway. Fueled only by hope, we made immense sacrifices with no certain return. The idea changes and you change. Behind every photo of two founders, there is an army of people that came together. None of this could be possible without our incredible team, investors, and partners. Today is the end of a chapter in our epic, and the start of a new one.

No two days are the same @KnotAPIs, which is a big part of what makes it so enjoyable. One of my favorite parts is working closely with our partners and building alongside them every day. It’s always fun to create something thoughtful and share it with the people we’re building for. The team and I are incredibly grateful for all of you. Thank you for being part of this journey; I hope you enjoy these small tokens of appreciation!

I’m excited to announce @KnotAPIs latest product: Account Upgrader. Knot started with a simple idea: connect users directly to the merchants they already use and make it effortless to set a card as the default. Account Upgrader builds on the same merchant connectivity layer and extends the moment further. With Account Upgrader, users can seamlessly opt into and upgrade to premium merchant subscription tiers directly within the flow, powered by Knot. For Issuers, this means more activation, more spend, and stronger retention. For Merchants, this means a new growth surface at a moment of high intent. We could not be more excited to continue building the merchant connectivity layer.

Plaid CEO @zachperret says AI agents will rely on credit cards, not stablecoins, for payments in the near term: "For as far as I can see, which in this environment is maybe a year or something like that, I think agents using credit cards is going to be by far the primary thing that happens." "The reason for that is merchants accept credit cards. Merchants don’t accept stablecoins, for the most part, for most of the things that a consumer wants to do." "Now, over time, certain types of merchants might start to accept stablecoins. The question is: will the companies that care about making credit cards really easy be able to make them sufficiently easy in the amount of time before merchants actually start thinking about accepting stablecoins?" "And my hunch is, you’ve seen, I think @tryramp actually launched an agentic credit card... I know there’s a bunch of other agentic credit cards that are out there, and I can’t imagine that there will not be 5,000 YC companies launching agentic-focused credit cards soon." "So I think we will see more and more options pop up. That’s not to say I’m not a believer in stablecoins. I think it’d be super cool, but I just don’t think it’s realistic in a short time frame."

Introducing Dasher Tasks Dashers can now get paid to do general tasks. We think this will be huge for building the frontier of physical intelligence. Look forward to seeing where this goes!

Block's @owenbjennings says they almost killed Cash App in 2015, but @jack personally fought to save it: "There were executives at the company saying: Venmo already has this on lock, this doesn't make any sense, you haven't figured out a path to monetization." "It was Jack, our CEO, who continued to push and invest." "Sarah Friar, our old CFO, actually gave us a deadline where we had to figure out monetization, or else we were going to be shut down."
