I've been thinking about this since the last couple of weeks and months, where I've been seeing a lot more repos that are related to AI & CAD. I would assume that for typical household work or somewhere we can delegate bespoke solutions & the designing to Claude and then connect it to a 3D printer. Then we can actually get something useful!! A lot of people already have 3D printers at their home now.

There will be 100x demand for building things in the real world as design gets easier The real question is who is going to manufacture all the parts?

Yes, Mercedes-Benz has used LiDAR in production cars. The current S-Class (W223) and EQS Sedan with optional DRIVE PILOT (Level 3) include Valeo SCALA LiDAR in the front grille, plus redundant sensors for conditional automation. The new 2027 C-Class EV and CLA EV drop it entirely (10 cameras + 5 radars + 12 ultrasonics only) for cost/scalability reasons on these volume models.

Hey @sama, can we get a chatgpt voice update on the newest models? Use voice a lot for brainstorming in the gym & while driving- AI research papers, ideas, finance and a lot of project discussions, its currently best in the game and would be awesome if OpenAI could supercharge it with a better model. Understand that the voice personality plays a huge whole and all the legal stuff that comes with it but just a genuine feature request and been using Codex a lot lately.

@bcherny This was a personal lesson to not depend on any single provider/ llm / tools, since last month I have diversified my projects & tasks distributed across cc, codex and open source. Depending alone on a nerfed claude or the opus 4.7 even on a max sub is a mistake.

i really have a bad experience with opus 4.7 xhigh, it is hallucinating a lot, forgetting things that we have already decided on in the plan mode, overcomplicating and overengineering a lot of things- thus breaking everything and Just really Not the quality I expected. @ClaudeDevs @AnthropicAI

@Salmaaboukarr I did not know its not using my max subscription, it consumed all my credits shortly and the API bill is heavy, but I ignored the „ you r using extra usage“ because I was experimenting with claude design, lesson learned

so claude design burns through tokens fast AND doesn’t let you top up credits… why?
