There is a temple in Jayanagar called Plague Amma temple to appease the plague goddess. The Richmond Circle flyover once was the only flyover in the world to have a traffic light on it. Sreeraj Lassi Bar was actually Siraj Lassi Bar but changed its name to attract the pure veg thindi walk type customers. Most bus stops in Bangalore are named after cinema theaters. Most theaters are gone now though. Includes Majestic, the massive bus station in central Bangalore. Others include Central, Swastik, Lido and Naga.

The Canada India Foundation is honored to present the "Global Indian of the Year 2024" award to Sadhguru, in recognition of his tireless work over four decades towards raising human consciousness, launching impactful global initiatives for the environment and human wellbeing. Sadhguru promises to visit Toronto in the near future and dedicates the award prize money to Cauvery Calling, an on-ground Save Soil initiative aiming to revive river Cauvery, which supports 84 million people in southern India. @RiteshMalikCan

I constantly get people reaching out to me inquiring about India's DPI approach, and wanting to learn how IndiaStack platforms like UPI, Aadhaar, DigiLocker etc were originally conceptualized, designed, built and scaled. Fortunately we now have a wonderful resource to serve as a ready reckoner. The Center for Digital Public Infrastructure (CDPI) has put together a video playlist on its YouTube channel... its available here @CentreforDPI" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@CentreforDPI
and features a series of interviews with volunteers who were involved in the effort. IMHO this is the pbly the (single) best destination on the web if you want to get a 30000 feet view about IndiaStack, and India's DPI platforms. Includes a video on DigiLocker as well youtube.com/watch?v=4GAn09… Do share the CDPI video series with folks looking for this input. Anyone reaching out to me now - I'll just point to that YT link:) Thanks @kamyachandra for making this very useful public repository happen (and @Satvik for shooting the series)🙏
