@mikethree @Skint_Eastwood1 Who determines what is blasphemy?
English

@Skint_Eastwood1 agree for the most but except that blasphemy isnt about feelings being hurt, its the collective degradation of society over time from the lack of respect being shown and overall disregard for a common morality. its the reason our society has become so low-trust and dysfunctional

Ricky Gervais on 60 Minutes Makes a Crystal-Clear Case for Free Speech
He put it perfectly: the great thing about freedom of speech is that I can say what I want, and you can say you're offended, and I get to decide whether I care or not.
Because let's be honest, there's nothing you can say that someone, somewhere won't find offensive.
That's why blasphemy laws are so absurd, they're basically trying to protect an all-powerful deity from having its feelings hurt.
At the end of the day, we should be free to criticise any idea.
Just because you're offended doesn't automatically mean you're right.
Spot on, Ricky. Free speech isn't about never upsetting anyone, it's about the right to speak anyway.

@PLZMAGR8A @donwinslow Most people don’t idolize politicians. MAGA makes it part of their identity, so they can’t admit when they wrong. They have no choice to go down with the ship and the rest of us will remember

@Michael69149422 @LL_Vitriol @adammocklerr So she would have had to say that there was an imminent nuclear threat. How else would he determine that. Its not like he would have the capacity to do his own research. He doesn’t read or use a computer
English

@LL_Vitriol @adammocklerr Yes but the Decision resides Solely with the President on whether there's an Imminent Threat and no one else or do you not understand How Our Military Works and the Command Structure there of
English

@akafaceUS Why would she give up her phone. They would need a warrant
English

@TaraBull Brave kid and happy to see the officers get the kids to safety. But the fact that the Internet continually shows people having a mental health crisis is really messed up. No one deserves to have their worst moments exposed. We used to be a country with decency.
English

@OwenShroyer1776 It’s fucking absurd how long they let that go on like that.
English

@Angry_Staffer They thought we would submit to total surveillance if they tapped into our lovebof dogs.

@Lancegooden Its about method. It makes a big difference. In America we don’t a bunch of brownshirts sweeping through our cities. It matters

@_Jo_Simon @WallStreetApes All of these corporations are jumping in to the feeding frenzy that this administration is happy to provide
English

@WallStreetApes Insurance companies need to be investigated. All across the country rates have skyrocketed. I understand there have been catastrophic events but does the whole country have to carry the load while the executives get their 7 figure salaries.
English

@RainbowisGods77 @WallStreetApes And Trump wants to increase the military budget by half 1 trillion while at the same time cutting taxes for the Rich. Who’s gonna pay?
English

this tush push increased the Bills win probability from 27% to 77%!
making it the single most valuable (+50% win probability increase) QB sneak in history, per @NextGenStats

@Guido316165362 @charise_lee It’s more like reminding her that they are an uncountable gang of thugs who have no limits and little training.
English

@charise_lee He’s referring to you leftest impending federal officers . You will be detained arrested and when you try to run them over you will be shot

Jose Ramirez breaks silence on signing below market extension from Guardians;
(Translation by Master Flip)
That was ultimately my decision, to take the extension. We went through a year and a half of negotiations, and when I finally signed, I got a significant salary bump. I knew it wasn’t fully reflective of my market value, and plenty of people made sure to point that out. But I’m a veteran, I understand how the game works.
Cleveland is a small market team, and they simply can’t pay me what I could command on the open market. So I told them, Let’s find a fair agreement that works for both sides.
I spoke directly with the GM. There were real trade discussions and offers from other teams willing to extend me at my full asking price, but my heart was set on staying in Cleveland. First and foremost, my children were born here. My wife feels comfortable in Cleveland and so do I. I owe this city a lot.
Since the day I arrived, I’ve never once been booed by these fans. I’ve seen how crowds in other stadiums treat players when results don’t come quickly, and that’s never happened here.
