@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii How can you argue for COIs when the current map splits Milwaukee County three times? How can you argue for COIs when WI-03 has an arm stretching out to Stevens Point that splits two counties? How can you argue for COIs when WI-01 stretches from Milwaukee to Janesville?

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii It seems to me like some pretty glaring COI violations are A-ok to you in a map that gives Republicans outsized representation, but when FEWER COIs are split to create a fair map you go into a performative outrage.

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Wow you created a map that barely does better than the current Dem drawn map. How fucking pathetic. I’ve seen 6-2 maps that score way better on splitting. The geography argument holds up when your only remedy is to split for no fucking reason like that other then partisan gain

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Good thing my map is more compact and has less splitting, all while being nearly twice as proportional to the current map. Again, the geography argument does not exist.

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Not like you split them. You split major counties that don’t need to be. How can you argue for COls when WI-04 protrudes outside Milwaukee County

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii You have to split some counties which the current map does very frequently and explicitly for the purpose of giving R's more districts. So don't pretend the current map doesn't split counties or municipalities. The difference is my map's splits create a more fair and cleaner map

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii You’d have to split counties and make a very non-compact map to get an even split. Dems have horrible geography in WI. The current map was drawn by Ever’s office too.

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii So did Dems really win big then based on their appeal or did they only win big bc it was a low turnout spring Supreme Court election

On March 30th, Festus, Missouri’s city council voted 6-2 to approve plans for a $6 Billion data center in the area despite fierce vocal opposition. Today, one week later, every single incumbent was utterly obliterated. Collier: 34.6% Wehner: 20.2% Venz: 17.6% Tinnin: 19.6%

How in the fuck can Wisconsin have a 5-2 liberal majority in the state supreme court while the GOP has a 6-2 majority in Congress and controls both the state assembly & senate?!! Make it make sense. Oh wait, Republicans can't gerrymander statewide races. Congrats Chris Taylor!

If you're still dooming over Republican underperformances in off-year and special elections after 2024 you're ngmi. In 2023, we lost KY gov by 5% - trump won the next year by 31% In 2023, we lost the WI supreme court by 11% - trump won the state

🚨 BREAKING: JD Vance says conservatives should stop BLACK-PILLING, and he nailed it "Blackpilling is how you give power to the forces that are trying to DESTROY what our ancestors built." "They say, 'that's not what we voted for. We're going to check out of politics.' No! That's the exact wrong response." "If we do something you don't like, the response should be to get MORE involved, to make your voice HEARD, and to try to push things in the direction that you want them to be pushed." "Our civilization was not built overnight! It's not going to be saved overnight." Truth! "What I'd encourage you to do is stay involved, be patient, and don't let disappointment turn to checking out of the system entirely." "There's way too much of that, I would say, in the Anglo system and the American system. There's way too much, 'I didn't like this thing that the vice president said, or I didn't like this thing that the president did, and I'm going to completely check out.' We call that blackpilling in the United States of America." "We need to take power back from those people and build the kind of institutions that can actually save our societies." "It will not happen overnight. It will not happen in the term of one prime minister or one president, but it will happen so long as we keep our faith in God and we work hard to achieve it. That's what we have to do."

This is insane — a historic night in Georgia. Democrat Shawn Harris just posted the largest congressional special general election overperformance in at least a decade. I can’t even find a dataset that goes back far enough to top it.
VoteHub@VoteHub

Georgia U.S House 14 Special Election Fully Reported: 🔴 Clay Fuller – 72,304 (55.9%) 🔵 Shawn Harris – 57,030 (44.1%) This district was Trump+37 in 2024, so Democrats end up with a massive 25 point overperformance.

Politico: Utah Republicans are furious about their new congressional map. They blame one of their own. Rep. Blake Moore’s past support for a redistricting reform effort is fueling a GOP primary and could hurt his future prospects. politico.com/news/2026/04/0…

@17951b9804a0485 @DanielDiMartino @ZacharyDonnini Polling on domestic migration into those states show overwhelming R leads. TX & FL attract red voters from all demos. Again, drops in international migration will help GOP states more than Dem states.

One key political ramification of collapsing international net migration: fewer people moving to blue states and cities. With 2030 reapportionment already expected to cost Democrats house seats and electoral votes, this pattern could deepen those losses.
