This GFS run is exactly what you do not want to see….cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold…70°. This would up the ante for ice jams and flooding. As much as many people want spring…we need this to be more gradual. The ensemble mean is closer to 60° those days so that’s better. *This run is for BDL

We are in uncharted waters with the #CTRiver. Longest it’s been solidly frozen in the 30 years I’ve been living along it. If we get a quick thaw and rain then big time concerns. Freshet flood risk is much higher than normal this spring… and the ice chunks will add another dimension.
